Great Varnish for Artists
Great acrylic varnish! I customize action figures, and this is the perfect finishing touch. It’s not too shiny, but just enough to make the colors pop naturally. I recommend applying two thin coats, letting them dry in between for the best results. It’s very easy to apply, dries evenly, and adds a nice layer of protection to the paint. Not only is it great for figures, but it works well on other paint projects too. Also, it might just be me, but it smells like chocolate—which is both weird and kind of amazing! Definitely a must-have for customizers and artists alike.

Very nice clear, dries fast
Works fantastic brushed clear coat on the dog, I had to sand the dog, it came really rough & a terrible look. I sanded &"repainted it, then I brushed clear on the dog & gun holster and knife on the other side, this dog is for John wick 6" doll.

A fine finish.
I use this on wooded models. It doesn't streak and is easy to clean up. No odor, either.

Depends on what you are looking for in a gloss.
So far I have tried 3 different varnishes. Deco art American dura clear gloss varnish. Alleens acrylic gloss finish spray and deco art American triple thick brilliant brush on gloss. Well, I also tried Sculpey satin gloss too. The spray is definitely my favorite as far as simplicity. Makes days worth of work turn into hours. Does a nice job too once you get the hang of it. Biggest drawback I would say is it stays tacky for a few days so you need to leave your pieces sit. The triple think gloss is very thick. It does a beautiful job and is dry by the next day. The one I’m doing the review for is ok. It’s not as thick and not as glossy if that is the kind of look you want. I didn’t really care for the Sculpey satin because I wanted a glossier finish. I guess it all depends on your preference and the amount of time you want to take doing the gloss. Right now the spray is my favorite but that is because it is so much easier on my back and neck because I’m not hand paining for hours. I do really like the American Brand products. One more I’d like to try is pledge floor wax. It makes your pieces beautiful from pictures I’ve seen. I can definitely recommend this one though. Just not a super high gloss but still glossy enough to tell you did something to your pieces. I’m working with polymer clay doing jewelry. That’s what I’m using my glosses for.Update: Forget the spray if you are using it for clay. It never dries. I ruined about 50 earrings using that. Also, I did just try the pledge floor wax. It’s beautiful on clay art. Dries fast and doesn’t really leave brush strokes. I tried it by painting it on with a flat brush. Also works putting it on a cloth and rubbing your piece with the cloth. Not quite as shiny that way but it depends on what look you are going for. It does make your fingers sticky but it washes off no problem.

READ THE TRUTH!!!
I don't see anyone else saying this, but i have been hunting for something like this for a very long time. What i wanted is to get a paint or gel or whatever it is to make my plastics feel like back of a lot of cell phone cases do today or other electronics. You have this very smooth not plastic not rubber not leather but something in between all of that, which makes it feels smooth velvet soft touch that is between rubber and plastic.I tried many different solutions, plasti dip it's not it, it's too rubbery. Everyone recommends that but it's just not it. You can't buy anything similar to that anywhere. This little item gets very close to that. I tried it on my mouse and keyboard buttons, it makes them feel so much better, silky soft velvet like touch instead of nasty sleazy plastics. It's not 100% like your phone in the back, although this may be do to finger application. I bought special brushes to apply it evenly, but even with that, I think it's about 90% there. Certainly much better than anything else i was able to get my hands on. Make your keyboard keys and mouse feel good to the touch, this is a great item and very hard to find.
