No, this is not formulated for toy products.

Q: Will this seal a branch I've taken from the yard, killing any critters that might be living in it?

It will seal most anything in and is mainly used to prevent moisture from getting in to wood causing it to warp. It keeps knots and sap from coming through when painting ....not sure about critters, maybe bake in oven 1st ??? after you seal branch you can varnish, this puts harder coating and would give another layer of critter prevention

You have to be sure your ceramic is fully dry and not sticky to the touch before applying to get the best results. Once your piece is dry then apply a thin coat and let dry and if you want to ensure best coverage or you are worried you might have missed a spot, you can apply a second coat and let thoroughly dry. This product can be used on a variety of different surfaces.
