15 bulbs and only 1 is growing///rip off
I ordered these and planted , only 1 came up. I contacted the sell and wrote this and this was their answer.. mind you I live in Washington, the East side 85-98 degrees. I have grown these for the past 5 years, no problems sent Jun 25, 2024 8:18 PMOut of 15 of these Bulbs only 1 is growing.....Disgusted,,this is the second time this has happened with this company. Didn't realize it was the same company as the first returned order...This is their answer....Hi Patty,It was never guaranteed that they would grow. It all depends on the soil, climate zone, and weather. At least you get some resorts. These are tropical bulbs coming in from Ecuador. And you are in Washington. II have always grown big beautiful elephant Ears but not from this company...I have gone back and forth with them to get a refund from them and all they do is send excuse..., finally Amazon gave me a full refund. Do not order from them if you want beautiful plants and don't want to deal with the hassle of refunds from them.

Don’t Be Turned Off By Lack of Reviews
When I took a chance on these, there weren’t really any reviews. It took a while to receive them and they were packaged in wood shavings in a USPS mailer, so I thought for sure I made a mistake in buying.I planted them in clay soil in a shady area and after a couple weeks I realized that’s not the best spot for them. So I dug them up and put them in some nursery cans until I could find a good full sun spot. They’ve been living in their nursery pots for about 2 months now and look absolutely great. I only had one out of the bunch not grow and that’s because a chipmunk or squirrel took a bite out of the bulb. Even one bulb that was kind of soft when I planted it ended up putting on growth. It just took longer. These are so low maintenance, I literally just water them whenever the soil looks dry, but they’re definitely conversation starters. I grew up with my dad having elephant ears in his garden but this is my first time planting and caring for them myself. I’m in zone 7 (Virginia). The pictures I attached go from May through June 2021. I planted them sometime in April.

UPDATE: 50# Grew
I'll adjust the rating if they sprout. They were planted perfectly seven weeks ago. No real reason for concern until eight weeks. They are small corms. Usually, the large elephant ears have very large corms. I'll be surprised if these are the BIG ELEPHANT EARS. The one that has sprouted has a 5 inch leaf so far.Always fair in my reviews, and will adjust up or down as needed. Current opinion - a huge waste of time and money. So much time to plant properly. Terribly disappointed.UPDATE: Well into the season and about 50% sprouted. Changed from one star to three stars. It is a literal flip of a coin if any one corm will grow in perfect conditions.

Most Survived
I ordered 15 got 16 and 13 of them started growing. I have Huge ones and they are doing Great! I have tiney ones that aren’t doing so great but I haven’t given up on them! Will cover them from the 100+ degree heat here in south Texas! Looking forward to next season if they make it!

Easy to plant and grow.
The media could not be loaded. The tubers (bulbs) were packed in a padded envelope. When I received them some were already staring to grow tiny roots and shoots! They were normal size for this type of ear. The tuber (bulbs) appeared to be healthy and viable.I only had 2 that did not take. Which I'm impressed with, because I didn't expect so many to make it! Like any other plant you never know! They are all growing at diffrent rates. Although all planted Sametime. They are are going to look super when they get bigger! They have a rich dark green in color.

Good quality
These arrived on time and were nice and dry. Have planted half and set the other half in my pond. All are starting to root and the ones directly in water have shoots in only a weeks time
