I’d use by the “best by” date, they can get stale after that but tends to last about 6 months from purchase, in my experience.

Q: What is it about roasted chick peas that makes them worth a dollar an ounce?

After working with a nutritionist for the past 1-1/2 years, they lower cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. I use these in a pinch when I haven't been able to make them myself. My numbers have gone down so much...triglycerides down by 64; overall cholesterol down by 27, etc. Try making them but these are just handy. I eat 1/2 cup 3 times day. Can also use black beans, humus, etc but these taste very good in a pinch. Good luck!
