Amazing gaming laptop
Amazing gaming laptop, it runs almost every game on ultra 60+ fps in 4k and every game that I tried at 90+ fps on full hd and some in 2K as well, I'm aware that's not a graphics card made for 4K and is actually made for the 2k, but yet, pretty impressed with performance. In relation to noise it can be very noisy on turbo mode, but to be fair, I can't really hear it when I'm using my headset, so I don't mind, it runs very silent in the standard mode. I can't really say much about battery life, as I always have it plugged in for max performance, and when I'm out of home, I don't really play unless I have a power plug close to me, but it does last roughly 4 to 5 hours with everything optimized to extend battery life, I highly recommend adding an extra ssd, cause 512GB is to low nowdays. In general, go for it, you won't regret it!

A gem, with only minor flaws.
There is a reason why Amazon reccemmends this model - and sells so many.I've only had it a few days, but so far it's a good replacement for my tuf 15 from the end of 2019.The Ryzen 9 7940HS is reasonably grunty, and the Nvidia rtx 4070 seems to cope with everything.Latest DDR 5 ram keeps up.Feels well screwed together. No frills.Should be future proof for a good while. The SSD should really have been 1TB, but it comes with only half of that. This means you will likely need an SSD upgrade almost immediately (potentially voiding any warranty).Screen shows patchy bleed though when displaying black screen, and generally isn't up there with the best, but it's not a big deal for me and is reflected in the competitive price.I took a long time comparing specs and I'm happy I ended up with the best perfomance-v-price solution. The chips run quite cool too, which was something I was keen on.If you can afford it, get it. You are unlikely to be disappointed.

in the Search for incredible avoid this
The worst notebook I ever owned. It constantly restarts on its own, shows a black screen for no reason, and has persistent internet connection issues. The entire Asus package needs to be removed immediately; otherwise, you will continue to face problems. I really do not recommend it for gaming. The only benefit is its really good graphic

Very good as desktop replacement, not that much as laptop, very bad screen and keyboard
TL;DR: Very good CPU and graphics for the price, very bad keyboard and screen, it's good if you want a not-so-expensive desktop replacement that can also game well. The good things:- strong processor and an RTX4070 in a not-so-expensive package, so you can use it as a desktop replacement connected to a BT keyboard and external screen(s).This laptop runs exactly like a desktop with an RTX4060, it runs modern games at high settings on a 27" screen (I'm rocking Cyberpunk at about 85fps, CoD MW at over 100fps at 2560x1440, less demanding stuff like Doom Eternal runs at 100+fps with Raytracing). CPU is similar in performance to a strong desktop computer too.The bad things:- keyboard: you don't see the letters cause they're transparent, dark grey on black, you must have keyboard lighting on all the time, and during daytime even at max it's too low. Also, you can't use white cause it's too dim and doesn't provide enough contrast, you have to have keys lit in strong red, green or blue.- screen: very low brightness, very low contrast, bad colours, you must set it on "vivid" and still, can barely read in a well lit room. But it's £1.3k. If you need a desktop replacement that's not too big/heavy, this one is OK as long as you install some decent memory and SSDs, and use it with external monitors, keyboard and mouse.(I'm not talking about the completely useless 500GB SSD it comes with. If you're evaluating this laptop, you're already planning to upgrade to some fancy expensive SSDs anyway. If you go this route, note that the empty M2 bay is the fast one connected to the proc, the already filled one is the slow one. Still PCIe4 but slightly slower, gave me lower IOPS. Also, the BIOS is picky so, if after upgrade it won't immediately start, don't panic, give it some time, it will start)

Great laptop for gaming
Having had this laptop for around a month now it’s impressed me with its performance. Obviously it’s not as good as a desktop 4070 but it runs AAA games at high settings on an external 1440p monitor with enough frames to make it enjoyable. The included ASUS software for controlling performance is great. In ‘performance’ mode (basically balanced mode) it seems to perform better than ‘turbo’. In turbo it’s initially faster but it gets hot and actually runs games slower than performance mode.Maybe if you could control the temps with undervolting the cpu or a cooling pad it might work better. The reason I have it 4 starts instead of 5 is because the screen is pretty poor. 1080p and bland looking. I’d go for a 1440p screen if you can afford.I have the ryzen 9 cpu and while I’d of preferred the intel variant the amd version was £50 cheaper for me. I’ve had no issues with it and it seems very fast.Overall very happy
