Q: What type of smoker bowl is recommended for use if this doesn't come with a bowl?

Clear plastic that has hose connection from smoker gun. Make sure dome is large enough for your specific needs.

Q: Can you fit a mug under the glass?

The glass bowl is not, or at least was not, included in the purchase and is a separate item. You could easily use a bowl or something over your mug to enclose it and hold in the smoke.

Q: Am I right in thinking that food (like a turkey leg) should be cooked before smoking?

Or you can smoke it in an outdoor smoker. But not this.

Q: Ive been using mine for a couple months and now the fan is clogged with smoke goo and wont run???.

Try plugging the tube eld and pouring a little rubbing alcohol into it. The resin will make the fan stick. Ran into this problem all the time when we used one for work and rubbing alcohol worked like a charm. Dump out the alcohol and after soaking for about 15 min and then use a towel to wipe down
