I used these Drilax Diamond Drill Bits to drill small holes in sea glass for a project, and they did a fantastic job. Very good and affordable bits. Not the best quality, but for the price they’re worth every penny. With nowadays prices I usually buy products like this from Amazon that are cheaper but you get more quantity and go with whatever it takes.

Used to drill holes in rocks. Used 1mm drillax bits first then bore out with these 2mm bits. Worked quickly and efficiently. No breakage and perfect size for my projects.

I bought these specifically to drill a small hole in a piece of rock to make a necklace for child’s birthday present. I used a drill press and continued to wet the stone. Within seconds the bit started melting at the tip even with water and got so hot it bent. I tried a second bit and applied water almost constantly and drilled very slowly. The bit was barely scratching the rock but again even with water it started melting off the tip and eventually broke off inside the small rock which also broke when I tried to remove it. Third bit on the same rock I submersed the stone in water and went very slowly in and out and it worked.Maybe these work for glass but definitely not recommended for hard gem stones like agate and jasper unless you submerse it, go very slowly and clear out the hole repeatedly.

I've bought a number of Drilax diamond tools and they've all performed well. This set of bits was just what I needed to remove the grout between tiles that had been set really close. These bits were especially effective in corners where no other options worked. Be sure to water lubricate though, and they mention that right on the package.

Originally purchased a set in 2020 and they worked AMAZING for drilling sea glass. The supply lasted me a good amount of time since I would use them occasionally. Come 2023, I purchased a new set as a back up for when my original supply was done. I started to use the second set a few months into 2024 and they were HORRIBLE! None of the drill bits would drill into the same kind of sea glass I use. I emailed the Drilaxtools company directly and expressed my situation. They offered to replace the order and I provided my mailing address (I live on a military base not too far from the states and we accept USPS). A month goes by and I still didn’t receive anything. I emailed them back asking if they had a tracking number for the shipment because I still hadn’t received anything and was told they didn’t keep any tracking information past 60 days. It was only 43 days after the initial email. After that I haven’t received an email since. At this point I am cutting my losses and purchased a different brand.
