this box is huge but small enough for travel- it was the best $30 I have ever spent! It is very compact and yet has so much more room than the other box I was using. I bought it to use as a travel altar for my spiritual practice and it is the perfect size for such a thing. I love the removable dividers! The lid itself is very roomy and I was able to attach a few stretchy bits so that it can hold my travel journal! Finding a place to stow that was always a problem for me. I hated the brand name on the front but it easily pulls off with just one's finger and thumb and its only held on by 2 tint brads. It is the perfect length to carry incense and a holder at the top as well as pillar candles! The compartments in the bottom are not quite big enough for a smoke cleansing bundle or a tarot card deck, but with the removable dividers you can easily remedy that. Each compartment holds a rather large votive candle, for reference. It is sturdy and the finish on it is beautiful - the clasps are sturdy and well made. They had an unfinished version with gold hardware but I prefer silver and the stain color is perfect for those who like a modern look or an old fashioned one! Its a very versatile stain color so all in all, worth the extra $6 or whatever it was to have a finished box and silver colored hardware. I can see this box lasting me a long time! A fairly large tapestry fits in one compartment as well and each compartment is not quite wide enough for a chime candle or tweezers for your charcoal discs, however they do fit diagonally! I can see myself passing this down to my children or niece, its so sturdy and will get a lot of love

Ok so I made modifications to mine for my needs, but it’s still such a cool product! Works perfectly for me and I use it as my Alwchemy components chest at LARP.

This is something like a treasure chest for me.It holds my favorite oil pastels, as well as crayons of every color.I have an extensive art supply collection. This has helped me to organize them.

Perfect for my wood furniture repair work , I took out a few panels , I might even add a side holster .

My purchase of this box arrived yesterday in perfect shape! I've read other reviews: cheap looking, bad workmanship, terrible job of staining, etc.I was somewhat hesitant because nowadays, one never knows what one will get! A sad state of affairs, if you ask me!All that aside, I've been looking at wood boxes: all shapes, styles, color, etc., for at least 2 years. Nothing was quite what I wanted OR if I didsee something that caught my eye, the item was usually over-priced. " I give up!"This box had the perfect dimensions: not too small, not too big, but just right. Thank you!I intend to use this box to store my dried herbs, powders, oils and the like inside. The height of this box also makes a nice little meditation altar!😊

I love the heaftyness of this box. I am using it for art tools. Not heavy just really sturdy.
