Simple alternative to wireless for interviewes, conferences etc.
Simple, good quality, no hassles alternative to wireless-mic setup. So long as you use the correct kind of mic (electret requiring about 5v with TRS 3.5mm Jack plug. Ring and / or Tip hot) and the subjects are seated or at least not moving around, these work flawlessly and are much simpler in terms of set up and probably more reliable than using a wireless system.

Works with my gaming headset to audio mixer
I had a pretty hard time figuring out why my headset wouldn't work with my audio mixer using a TRRS to dual TRS splitter. After a little research, I found I needed a product like this one. This solved my problem. If you need to connect an electret mic to your mixer, this is what you need.BUT! Keep in mind, if you are passing it through a noise gate or similar device, then you may also need a 48V Phantom power injector. I did.Your mixer might output 48V Phantom Power, but your noise gate or effects processor might not pass that power. Only audio signal. You may need a power supply later in the signal line to use this product correctly.

Great Idea But!
Its a great idea, but it creates a hum. I tried with various microphones and mixers and in all cases it produced a slight hum which I was unable to remove.

Works great!
Works great to convert phantom power into plug in power needed for using microphones.

These DO NOT WORK. Buy the RODE product instead.
I record game play sessions and every player has a 1/8" mic. I feed them into one of two field recorders with XLR inputs. For a while, I used a large, battery powered 1/4" converter for mic power so they would work. Those were no longer available and their build quality was crap. So then I went to the RODE phantom power converters. They work flawlessly. I needed a few more, so I tried this brand. This simply DOES NOT WORK. First, they don't lock into place, like any other XLR connector. So that sorta stinks. And then, the worst part is that when you plug an 1/8" mic into the connector, it simply doesn't work. I didn't discover this until I was on location, failing hard. The work around was to not push the 1/8" post in all the way and have it almost dangle out. It was the only way I could get a signal.I don't know if this is wanting a stereo input, but it definitely doesn't work with a mono one. EDIT AFTER VERIFY: I only notice now that it states it's for TRS 3-pole microphones. BEWARE. It won't work correctly with a normal 1/8" plug mono microphone. So, yeah. I guess it's my fault, but the description isn't terribly clear as to what mics this will work with and which ones it won't. Don't make the same mistake I made. Get the RODE product if you are going to use it with more standard mono 1/8" microphones. And of course, I didn't test it and the return period has expired.

A must have for a young bloger
Not that I am blogger or a young, but I have a lavaliere microphone which is designed to be connected into the computers or smartphone 3.5 headset input. This adapter allows me to connect this microphone to the regular pro mixer or an audio interface that supplies 48v phantom power which is not suitable for a computer microphone.

Pricy small converter
I got this to use my headset's microphone with my DAC. Because apparently a normal converter will not work.I only got this because it was the cheapest I could find on here. It does the job though.Knowing what these probably cost to manufacture I'm not happy about it. Cables and converters are a racket.

Works as advertised for 3.5mm TRS connectors.
The adapter I received has solid construction and works as advertised. The only time I had an issue was when I tried to use a 3.5mm TS Mono connector, where it did not work at all. I also tried a Rode VXLR and VXLR+, and it worked for the latter, but not the former. So functionally speaking, the Movo adapter has most of the advantages that the VXLR+ has over the VXLR, but it lacks the support for mono plugs. In other words, if you don't have any mono plug 3.5mm microphones, don't worry about it.
