Royal Canin is the best dog food I've ever fed my girl.First of all, do NOT be fooled by boutique mail order dog foods that take up half your freezer and claim to be nutritionally complete. Don't be guilt tripped by influencers because you don't feed your dog nothing but raw ribeye or make your own food. They can all cause problems with your dog's health.The scientists at Royal Canin have researched dog nutrition and developed a breed specific formula that will actually help my best friend live her best life. Taking her off the boutique food due to pancreatitis and putting her on Royal Canin German Shepherd saved her life, improved her coat, and have my seven year old acting more like she's three. The good people at Royal Canin have all my gratitude. My dog has saved me in ways too numerous to describe. It's the least I can do for her.

My German Shepard had an intestinal intussusception when he was 6 months old and they removed 5 inches of his intestines so I have always taken a lot of precautions when it comes to his diet. As he was getting older (DOB: 4/28/22) He was shedding more than the normal boat load a German Shepard sheds at, even in the cold seasons. I found out it could be related to his diet (he was on Veterinary Diet at the time) and when I switched him to Royal Canin there was an immediate difference! Not just to his digestive health, weight, his energy but also his coat. The difference was night and day! I also mix the wet canned food according to the portions on the bag. Although it’s expensive it’s the quality that matters!

I have a half malamut/german shephard. He is ~110lbs, 3.5yeard old. He has been on this food for a year now. My wife's dog is a boxer/lab/idiot mix, who has also been on this food for a year now. My dog free feeds, and enjoys his six cups of food at his leisure, leaving ample opportunity for both dogs to eat it. Neither would touch the food set our for my wife's dog. Anyway, both dogs are doing great. Between my wife and I running, both dogs get ~10miles of running in a day (5 in the morning with her, five in the evening with me). Their energy is excellent, their stamina is excellent, their fur is beautiful, they have nice looking and regular turds (not too hard, not too soft) so I know their digestion is on point... great food. I wish I could say the same about my food. So far both dogs are holding up well to the exercise. No joint aches of pains. Half of the distance is on concrete, half is on gravel/grass.

We have two GSD’s. Ruger is 3-1/2 and Colt is 14 months. We started using Victor, but after a while Ruger just stopped eating it. I tried EVERYTHING! I made him his own stew, put meat juices over it. He loved the stew, but a lot of work. Someone recommended Royal Canine, and he lives it! Both dogs love it now! I spoke with our vet and she said it’s one of just four she recommends because they have a vet on staff. I add Costco’s canned chicken and rice and lamb and rice canned food (good) for their dinner. I use about a third of a can for each and mix it up. About 5 minutes and it’s gone! They both get a super healthy diagnosis every check up👍🏻 Soft coats and lots of energy. Healthy looking “yard brownies” too😂

Perfect kibble size, dogs( shepherds ) ate first bag but wouldn’t touch the second. Price is high

My dogs (large and small) love this kibble!

My only complaint is the price. Otherwise, my dogs seem to be thriving on it and they like it.
