Quality not gud enough

I work in the dental field. People still think that they need a medium or hard toothbrush to use to feel clean. All the hard toothbrush does is facilitate recession & bleeding gums which leads to a plethora of dental problems. It all starts with home care. I have always used ultra soft toothbrushes. I want my gingiva to be firm & pink & healthy like it was meant to be. Our teeth are self cleansing because of our saliva so a hard or medium toothbrush is useless. All it does it refers your gums & brushing too hard can lead to enamel erosion along the gum line also which causes tooth sensitivity. Cavities hide in the interproximal areas which is why flossing is so important. So please people, throw away your hard or medium toothbrushes & get a soft or ultra soft! You’re killing your gums & paying for your dentists’ timeshares & fancy cars & houses!

I ran across these first at Walgreens and having eroded my gums from over brushing, looking for something soft and small that would allow me to target my teeth and let my gums heal and grow back. I actually found these in the children section. When I returned for more, they were gone, nothing but those huge, multi colored, wild bristled models left. So, I turned to Amazon and found them, and ordered several packages. Being an engineering type, I'd finally correlated the loss of gum with the hugeness of modern toothbrushes, all gaudy tennis shoe looking contrivances, apparently meant to entice visually while tearing up the mouth, and am happy to report that these tooth brushes are helping my gums heal. Thank you, Amazon, for stocking useful products the walk-in stores have abandoned.

I bought them because they were "SUPPOSE" to be extra soft and they arent. I have sensitive teeth and gums and this brush hurts too. Ill use them since i bought them but im a nurse and would NOT recommend for chemo/radiation patients. This would make your gums hurt worse and bleed. Makes my gums bleed every morning. (The reason i bought these). I do wish i could find a super soft brush but so far no luck. Very disappointed. They werent super cheap either. Better luck next time.

I like that these toothbrushes have the larger heads, with super- soft bristles. The larger heads are advantageous because they cover more tooth surface. I like the super- soft bristles because they are gentler on my gums. Also, the softness just seems to clean better. I received a packet of 2 brushes for $10. I consider it a good investment & well worth it. And I love just about anything with the name ORAL- B on it!

I got these because I am undergoing chemo and needed a very soft brush because of sensitive gums and mouth sores from the chemo drugs. These brushes are "soft" but not as much as the packaging suggests. I can still use them by running understand very hot water first.For regular use, I'm sure they're fine!
