Q: Can you add oil to this clay to soften it? Warm it up?

Hi, no I donc know about oil I never used oil , I use a " magic bag" that I warm 2 minutes in the microwave then I put the clay in a ziplock bag and leave it for 1/2 hr and it is a ok if not I put it back on the bag but I never had that problem with Premo it is always ready to work . I find it his a lot softer then Fimo for me Premo his the best ,hope it help Sylvie Bissonnette

Q: Which translucent is this - 5310 or 5527?

This one is 5310 (Premo Translucent). If you need 5527, look for Premo White Translucent.

Q: Question for the seller, what year are these batch made? I’m afraid I’d receieve an old year batch of clay.

As a customer, the Premo Accent translucent (5310) is what i have received twice and is newly from this year 2018. The clay is kneadable to use for sculpting.

Q: can my oven be used for food after using it for clay?

Technically, yes, you can use the same oven for clay and for food. I do... I use my home oven for larger clay projects regularly. The clay is non-toxic. While baking, the clay may smell like hot plastic... because essentially, it is. Many artists prefer to contain their clay in a large bag, like a crock-pot bag or turkey-roasting bag, just to make absolutely sure that the clay isn't off-gassing anything that can stick to the oven. If you feel better safe than sorry, go with the bag method. I generally just put my clay in open, and make sure I have proper ventilation as I don't love the scent of baking clay. But that's about it - bake with confidence!
