I needed these to hold shelf paper down in a lower cabinet. Reading reviews of thumbtacks on Amazon, it seemed they'd bend or break more often then they'd penetrate wood cleanly. They're sharp enough and strong enough to go in with just a couple of taps. These are expensive, but because they work on the first try, they're worth it.

We use these to hang quilts on the wall temporarily. They don’t damage the quilt and leave only small holes in the wall. Sharp, sturdy, great price.

I love these super big tacks, but they didn't solve my problem. They easily go in wood and stay up well . . . unless you have them in screening and a cat wants to bring the screening down. That's what I got them for--to put additional soft screening over one typical framed screen that the cats keep popping out. (The screens are the type that are held in place by two little weak side hooks.) Well, these tacks are no match for cats! They can pull down the screening, tacks and all, just as easily with these large tacks as they can with smaller tacks. And then they play with the tacks on the floor. They really like these big ones. Sigh . . . .

Couldn’t find large thumbtacks at different fabric stores or they were out of stock.Delivered right to my front door and they work perfectly. Strong and durable. I use a butter knife to pry them off when I need.

I use these for quilting. It is so much easier to use these large thimbles over typical tiny ones and these don't bend after one use like small ones.

I make denim jean quilts and these are perfect to hold the top, batting, and backing in place. Don’t bend when putting them in.
