I expected the edges of the product to be more perfect.The structure itself is very elastic—rubber-like—but the spikes feel more like plastic and are a bit short, which makes it difficult to hold a brush in a strictly perpendicular position when placing it between the rows.However, I don't know where else I could find an alternative to this mat that would be better, and if I do look, it would only be at a specialized exhibition and only after a personal inspection.Currently, this rubber mat is the perfect place for my cup and teapot with dessert next to my workspace on the table—nothing spills or gets dirty. So, I am using it for one of the two stated functions of the product in the photo, but not in the way I initially expected.
