I got a good deal on a second hand Dell Venue Pro recently that didn't come with a power adapter. I only found out after receiving it that Dell chipped the adapter and will only trickle charge when the tablet is running. It's a pain because I already had many third party "smart charging" adapters and a genuine ipad air adapter that should be perfectly compatible to provide the full or most of the required draw. The tablet is amazing so I caved and bought this Dell power adapter to continue using it. Anyways, this adapter I received from this listing was genuine and is fully compatible with my Dell Venue Pro (7140) tablet. I found the best deal on one here on amazon.

This seems to be a true dell power supply. It's recognized by my Venue 11 Pro 7140, and the CPU runs at full speed with the power supply plugged in. I also have a cheaper knock off power supply, and the venue runs very slow with it plugged in.This supply has a cable to plug into the wall rather than the swiveling low profile plug, but that's ok by me, I use it in my living room and it gives me a much longer reach.

After one month or less of use, the power cable that goes from the charger portion to the wall outlet began to pull loose, leaving bare wires exposed! I contacted Dell and they replaced the charger with the wrong one the first time. After another month, Dell replaced with the correct one. This could have been a fluke on the first one but who knows.

Pictured item shows the flipout/blade adapter for the US that comes with the tablet from Dell. Mine did not arrive with that, but the standard "mickey mouse" CABLE that comes with almost all laptop power bricks. It works and charges Venue 11 just fine, but the picture is misleading. Manage your expectations accordingly. Paid less than what Dell wanted, so got what I paid for I suppose.

Received the adapter with the hinged adapter that plugs directly to the outlet with a 2 prong. Did not come with the micro USB cable. the product appears new with the sticky scratch preventing plastic stickers around the adapter. Dinged a star from this because it did not come with a micro USB cable as pictured.

Very short cord.

This was the exact replacement to the one that came with the Venue. I did not get the power cord but instead got the direct plugin piece at the top. One less piece to travel with. Some people report getting the corded one shown in the picture. That was not the case here.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Great price and a life saver....someone stole my tablet bag with my charging cord, luckily not the tablet. I had the dock for it, but that was hard to pack to take on trips, which I do regularly. I'm happy! The shipping was quick as well :)
