As a strength and condition coach and certified athletic trainer, my clients and athlete’s are required to have a daily soft tissue practice that includes self-myofascial release on a quality foam roller. It is an important component of our programming in order to maintain, and improve soft tissue quality as it relates to recovery, hypertrophy, and successful training practices.These daily routines utilizing a foam roller become integral to the point where many people have several choices of foam rollers that they keep in their homes and use at their workout facilities. However, they are awkward to travel with. This has become an issue with many of my clients because they rely on soft tissue release and trigger point management especially when subjected to a great deal of airline travel. It is very light, but very durable. It will support up to 350 lbs. You pull on the end strings and it locks into a full functioning foam roller. A quick press on each end of the cylinder sends the roller back into it’s flat state. Brilliant!!As I also alluded to in the title, you are not settling for an inferiorly designed foam roller because of it portability. This is literally one of the more effective foam rollers I have used. Its size is perfect and the textured nubs on the exterior seem to be just the right amount of hardness and irregularity to get into most problem areas of the body. I highly recommend you purchase this awesome product so you can have a high quality foam roller with you pretty much wherever you need it!

I have fallen in love! Nothing ruins travel for me like a knotted up back after a long flight. I now pack it on every trip! It’s pretty lightI have chronic IT band issues. After sitting for hours then rushing through airports, I am regularly seized up. This helps he get loose again and standing upright. Now the whole family is using it on vacations. I even reach for this before my full size roller at home. I’ve even loaned it to friends while on the road and they’ve picked them up!Money well spent for sure.

A little pricey but the functionality makes up for it. Easy to store in a training/practice bag and simple to use. Collapses very smoothly. The size is just right. It had very nice roller pads to loosen up/relax muscles before a workout. Would recommend.

A good product and it performs as expected in most cases. It is a bit on the soft side, which may be alright for certain populations, I was looking for something a bit more firm. I'll still use it, and its very nice to collapse and toss in my gym bag. Definitely worth it!

Life changer for people who love rolling and also travel. It is incredibly easy to pop open into a sturdy tube which holds up under bodyweight pressure, and then with a simple tug pops shut again into a flat, fairly lightweight rectangle that fits easily in almost any size/shape luggage.I have had it 1.5 yrs and taken on several trips, and has held up well. I also like the design (firmness, shape of the "panels") so much that I have started using it at home too, on my shoulders every morning before using my regular, full-size roller (which is smooth and softer). It really finds the tender spots and releases stuff.

I know I know $75 for a foam roller, I can hear you scoffing but trust me it’s worth it. I originally purchased this for travel as it was the only collapsing foam roller I could find. It ended up being the only foam roller I use. It’s incredible, the foam is firm but is soft enough to take the edge off. The knubs actually work, it does have a massage like quality to it.Most foam rollers I’ve used tend to soften and break down over time, this one with its bamboo core should resist this to some degree. It’s great, I tried it out once thinking it would just live with the luggage until called to duty for travel but it’s now the only one I use. 4 stars for the price but 5 stars for the performance.

It broke today. I bought this for when I travel and it didn’t even live thru my second trip. I wanted this to work out and be great but I don’t recommend it and now I am beyond the return window. It is entirely too expense to break after a grand total of seven days of usage. It would get 0 stars but in order to submit, you have to at least give a star.
