Perfect for Coffee Enthusiasts
We bought this for my step father’s birthday. He absolutely loves cold coffee and cold brew. The brewing capacity and the ease of use is what makes it perfect. It holds quite a bit of coffee grounds and any mix ins you may like. Overall great quality. Must have

Will Pay For Itself In 1-2 Months
Honestly bro, to say that we are coffee people would be an understatement. For the longest time though, we thought there was no better cold brew than the one from our local coffee shop - boy were we wrong. We'd tried several other cold brew coffee "makers" and the all had issues that significantly affected the taste of the coffee they produced, so we eventually went back to our rather expensive habit.A few weeks ago, we saw an ad for this KitchenAid cold brew coffee maker and decided to get back into the fray of at-home coffee making. Right off the bat, this cold brew coffee maker is sturdy and well-built - at least on the outside. The glass is quite heavy duty so it can withstand the occasional bump, and the brushed stainless steel details make it really nice to look at. But, where this baby really shines is in the product that results. What you really pay for when you buy cold brew coffee makers like this one is the coffee filter itself. The better the quality of the "mesh," the better tasting your coffee will be. With previous items, we've had to add an additional filtration step using cheesecloth to get some of the grinds out of the coffee, but with this KitchenAid, the holes in the metal coffee filter are so small, that very little filters out into the actual coffee liquid. The result is, in our opinion, some of the best cold brew coffee outside of any coffee shop.Sure, the price tag is a little high (we got ours when it was on sale, so it cost around $90), but with a 28oz carafe, this is enough quality coffee to replace 6 coffees from the coffee shop each week. If you do the math, you're saving $25-30 bucks a week and can make about 6 weeks worth of coffee from a single bag of ground coffee, so this baby really can pay for itself in 1-2 months. The biggest drawbacks, and they are minimal, would be that for us, the 28oz version is a little small (but the 48oz version was over $150 and we couldn't justify spending that much), in addition, the mesh filter itself is quite delicate, so you have to be very careful when washing, drying, and storing it.Overall though, again for us, this has so far been worth the price. We are starting week 3 today and so far, have really enjoyed the flavor of the coffee our KitchenAid makes, the look of the item itself, and the fact that we haven't gone out for coffee for two weeks.

Just buy it, and thank me later
I've been with amazon for over 7 years now and have never written a review before; this product is so good that I just had too.I honestly picked this product because I have had an interest in cold brewing, love the Kitchen Aid brand, and loved the design of this product. It looks better in person than in these photos (something that almost never happens), and it feels very solid. You can tell this is just good quality once you open the box.It is a very simple process, fill the filter thingy up with 250g of coffee grounds (I just eyeballed it because they have a fill line to give you an idea of where you should stop pouring, in case [like me] you don't have a digital scale in your kitchen), coarse grounds are what you want to use, but I didn't have any in the house and just used my fine grounds. You let it brew in cold water in your refrigerator or on the counter in room temp (I went with cold water + the fridge) for 12 to 24 hours (the longer it brews the stronger/more bitter it will get); I went with 15 hours. Then you remove the filter thingy and you can begin drinking your coffee. I like it black, so I pour my cup (already filled with ice) a third of the way up with the coffee concentrate you brew from this cold brewer and the rest of the cup with water, stir and enjoy. It is easy to clean, looks great, holds a large amount of coffee in a small amount of space, and I love how nicely it fits on the shelf of the fridge, as if it was always meant to be there. If you are thinking about buying this, stop thinking about it and do it. This thing is the greatest thing for coffee lovers since the discovery of the bean.
