Q: Hi, i tried to order 6 yards on amazon and the shipping cost was going to be about $44, to houston tx area (77503). how to reduce that?

The way we price things is to be the cheapest overall per yard for our customer. Unfortunately we won't be able to adjust the shipping because the way the Amazon system is made. We make our money of shipping and break even on the cost of the fabric. I wish there was a better way to do it. Chuck

Q: Could this stop knife cuts, slashes, or bullets if woving into say a shirt or somthing...?

Level II body armor (medium caliber pistol rounds) usually requires 16-20 layers of Kevlar fabric. I did laminate 32 layers of this fabric with spray on craft glue and it stopped 22 lr lead nose rounds in 12 layers or less. That many layers are about as flexible as the bottom of a leather soled shoe. It you seek body armor, there are several affordable options out there.

Q: How long would it last?

I purchased this fabric to make dog beds for my VERY destructive dogs (lab and pitbull). That was almost 2 years ago and despite their ongoing and continuous attempts to shred through the fabric there is not even a single snag or rip in the dog beds I made. However I also made dog beds for friends out of the much cheaper denier 600 and found that it too did not have a single snag or rip after over a year. I've also made patio covers and outdoor curtains and they still look good as new.

Q: Is the 1680 or the 1050 more flexible?

They are both highly flexible. The 1680 being a thicker, heavier material would be considered "less flexible." They are both flexible enough to be folded in half with a sharp crease.
