Hohner Accordions 270BX-C Super Chromonica Chromatic Harmonica, Key of C, Brown

I am new to harmonica but have played music all my life on a variety of other instruments. The tone is wonderful and there are no problems with any of the reeds. I did find one low reed that lacked volume and clarity initially, but after playing the harmonica a little bit, the tone was there. I would certainly buy one again or recommend it to a friend. There is a big difference in tone quality between this harmonica and one I've heard another beginner use that cost $35. One sounds good; the other one works.

This harmonica is an amazing instrument. It blows easily and has a very good tone. I like the rich looking box that it comes in. At first the chromatic lever stuck, but that only lasted for about one minute. It works perfectly now.

it sounds good and its easy to play. The only thing is a decoloration where to put the mouth. After a month or so of playing it loose the silber color, and is turning golden. I hope I'm not eating the color :(

My Father always loved his father, who died when my dad was only 18. My grandfather's best friend, who my family saw as an uncle or second father (that's how close he was) was a great guy, and a major harp enthusiast. This great man gave my father a chromonica, and my father cherished it for 40 years... until it was stolen.My own uncle gave me my first harp on my 3rd birthday. Harps are a family thing.Over the years I've managed to remember exactly which harp my father had cherished so much- it was none other than this model chromonica (albeit, much much much older!!). I ordered it on cyber monday and it arrived within the scheduled time. I was very happy, and I can't wait for my father to find it in his stocking this year.I'll always be a Harp enthusiast, and Hohner has been a part of my family for three generations now. Just take care of your instrument and I know it will serve you well. :)Hohner, by the way, sends you a little booklet or sheet giving you tips on how to properly care for your new harp- which I find very handy- anyone new to the harp should be sure to look at it. It also has contact information should you need customer service. I haven't needed to call them, so I can't tell you what to expect, but I'm more than happy with each and every hohner I've ever owned.

The harmonica construction and finishing is awesome. The sound is perfect compared to some 10 holes harmonicas that I have. Now I have to learn how to play the chromatic scale notes that are different from the diatonic.

This is a great harp. Clean, great tone, easy to play. I can't say anything bad about it. Good enough for the pro's, good enough for me.

I have been playing a variety of Hohner harmonicas for over 30 years. so I know the usual quality and value of their products. I ordered one of these before Christmas because I wanted to venture into the world of the slide chromatics. (I had been playing slideless ones and other models for years.) It was offered at a great price, so I placed my order because I knew the price would soon rise.The original arrived in a timely manner, but was defective. I won't go into detail on this, but it was of no use to me as a performer. The replacement arrived today. Surprise! It was in no better shape than the original! It had some of the same problems, but also a couple of new ones. I am returning this one, too. I hope that the third time will work.

The slider sticks and sometimes takes a while to move it. The e/f is sometimes hard to play. Other than that the sound is good.
