Q: How do you charge the unit?

Use the USB-C / USB-A cable supplied with the Jump Starter and hook the USB-C end into the USB-C port of the charger (it has a lightening plug and lightening bolt image associated with that port) and then plug the USB-A portion of the cable into a plug adapter that accepts a USB-A cable (these are very common and you probably have a few laying around). This plug then plugs into your wall outlet. Initial charging of this Jump Starter out of the box took just over an hour to bring it to full charge (Jump Starter was @ 75% when I received it). Q: What are the reasons why you like this battery jump starter ?

It is very easy to use. So long as you keep it out of direct sunlight, it will function perfectly. It will retain its charge for weeks. Jump starts barely drain it when it is simply providing extra voltage to assist a battery impaired by temperature. It also has a mode that will provide enough cranking voltage to start with a nearly dead battery. The manufacturer recommends recharging it every 3 months. That typically takes less than an hour. I recommend checking this charge monthly. After over 2 months and 3 low temperature jump starts, it had only lost 25% of its charge. One additional selling point is that it can power and charge cells phones and tablets with minimal impact on the total charge of its battery. So, getting stranded somewhere due engine failure means you can keep electronic devices working while you wait for help.

Q: Does this gooloo jump starter really water resistant?

Yes there are rubber plugs that go into all the ports. So it’s def water resistant. I don’t think I’d toss it in a pool but that would be waterproof. It will be fine in rain and snow
