Steps are 14-1/2" wide. The top step is 8" deep and the bottom step is 4-1/2" deep. This is a terrific step stool - we own 3 of them.

How deep is it when folded?

7 inches deep; the bottom step stays out; 19 wide, 25 high, very sturdy, lightweight product. I own two now.

When the ladder is folded, how tall is it?

2 feet at most! It is the best step stool ever!!
