Portable Air Conditioner Cooling Fan: Evaporative Mini Air Cooler with 𝟳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 - USB Personal Air Cooler Desktop Ac Unit for Room Office Home (White)

I was looking for something to cool a small room and thought this would be perfect but it did not live up to the expectations at all. It barely moves any air and only really felt "cool" for about two inches in front of it then nothing really beyond that. I let it run in said small room room for a bit and all it did was make the room muggy. A normal box fan in the window on the hottest of days keeps the room cooler than this thing. Upon further inspection the fan inside is just a PC case fan and not suited for any kind of cooling it claims it is capable of. I could make a better and bigger DIY version of this myself for far less than what this cost. Speaking of cost, it does not even come with its own plug, it comes with just a cord but no actual plug end. You are expected to just plug it into your PC, laptop, or other plugs you have lying around and hope its properly rated to handle it and match the required power needs. For anyone looking at any real cooling needs do not even bother with this as it is not worth it at all.

The media could not be loaded. I actually love this thing. Air blows across the room to my bed and with ice is quite cool!! Lasts through the night. I’m sure it won’t be great in a power outage because you’d have to keep filling it with ice, but the fan works very well so I’m thinking it will add some relief. Haven’t hooked it up to my battery generator yet to see how many watts it uses, but probably not much. Also, I can keep my thermostat at a higher temp in summer, while sleeping, because it definitely cools me at night. 2 stars because I don’t know if the top right button is supposed to function in some way. Mine does not. Seems like it should activate cool mode and I might not be getting everything out of it that I should. If I get a response and resolve on that, I’ll change the rating.EDIT: Gave 5 stars because the seller responded and let me know that the top right button does not serve any functional purpose. Turning it on is all you need to do. It’s not an air conditioner and won’t function as such, but Definitely blows cold air with ice.

Only good if sitting in front of a computer pointed right at your face maximum of two feet distance. I bought this to cool me down in bed at night. Did not work. Plus having to freeze little bags of ice every day. For 0 results is a waste of time and money

It cools well when used w/ COLD water & ICE cubes & if you r w/in 3-5 feet of the stream of air blown out the front of the unit. It is really quiet. Don’t believe the square footage claim (I didn’t) as it is more of a “desk top” unit. What I’m very unhappy w/ are the electronics - VERY temperamental! The fan (goes from 0 to 100) won’t blow at max speed unless I 1st turn it down to it’s lowest speed but NOT zero, then power unit off & then back on & gradually increase fan speed. Also, for some reason they include a light under the water tank that changes color. It hadn’t turned on consistently, which was fine by me! But now it comes on all the time & rotates thru various colors at varying intervals…this alone is annoying but now it also beeps every time it changes color, which is extremely annoying. Why not return it? I only need for a couple of weeks or else I would.

We put it our living room to help with the heat from that comes in from the patio. It puts out a pretty good air stream and it did cool the living room. It is very compact and it use water pretty quickly. If you plan on using 8+ hours you will need to refill it. It is built strong but it doesn’t have a remote or battery outside of being plugged in . Low noise

Used for a week or so approx 12h per day while AC was down in my building; condensation from ice in the water chamber dripped constantly so had it resting on a towel. After a week checked the paper filter and found it had grown mold all over and so was essentially spraying mold whenever it was on. Returned.

I was really impressed with this little machine. Cool the air nicely and listened to loud. Easy to assemble. Good size didn't take up too much room. I think it will help me save on my air conditioning bill.

Did not cool due to no water wetting the cooling filter even after running it with ice cubes in very cold water. I “shook” it like the instructions said to do if it would not cool - with negative results. It ended up being an expensive fan for a few hours - then I boxed it back up for a return / refund.
