I love the knife itself, but the sheath it came with is not leather. It's some form of nagahide that stinks of mold. It's bad. Someone in an earlier review said the got a real leather sheath, but this one sucks.The knife is a real chopper. Heavy and thick. The trident cut at the base of the blade has a very sharp pointing up the blade that can cause some unexpected damage, so beware of that. Fit and finnish are very good. Better than I thought they would be.Wish it had a real leather sheath (sigh)

This knife is a fantastic quarter inch thick very well made beautiful mosaic in the handle I was very surprised by quality of this knife mine came razor blade sharp but this wouldn’t be a review with some criticism my chief complaint this knife has no guard to protect your had which u sorta know when u buy it im just salty because I immediately upon in sheathing it made a whoopsie and nearly sliced my finger in two nice to know its sharp but wish they’d make this with a finger guard for those with the tism like me second the sheath is hot garbage I hope they make a version of this with the above mentioned finger guard and a usable sheath over all amazing for the price 10/10 would recommend

Very nice knife! We are a camping family and we tend to do a lot of primitive camping. That means in the woods with no bathrooms, ammenities, etc. So having a decent knife is essential, both for use and protection. The area all around where we go camping has black bears and other animals. So some protection is better than nothing! Also these work very well at making kindling for your campfire! The feel of the knife in my hand is very comfortable. It does have some weight to it, which is nice. You can tell that it is made well!

Absolutely great deal. This thing is a beast. Not super sharp but that doesn’t matter. This thing chops very well.
