This Workstation is a BEAST!
As this HP Z820 Workstation is a Refurbished Computer, my review will be broken down in two parts. This first is the HP Quality that is inherently built into this Workstation. The build date on my unit was from 2013, and even as an eight year old computer it is impossible to build anything close to this for the money. The build quality is second to none. It is very quite, and is working flawless. The second part of this review is specific to the Amazon Seller: PC Server & Parts, that sold my specific workstation to me. My HP Z820 came with 128GB of Memory, 16 Core 2.6GHz CPU, 500GB SSD Hard Drive, plus a 2TB Traditional Hard Drive, as well as two NVIDIA Quarto 4000 Graphics Cards. Windows 10 Professional was already installed. The Amazon listing said that the workstation would have 16 - 8GB Memory cards, but I was pleased to find I actually revived 8 - 16GB Memory cards, so if I ever want to upgrade to 256MB of memory it will be very easy to do so. Also, it was to come with the 850W Power Supply, but mine had the upgraded 1125W Power Supply. This workstation is sold with no wireless network card, but in my case this is fine as it sits right by my router. The NVIDIA Quarto 4000 Graphics Cards are getting up there in age, but both work fine. The only thing that was odd, was that my old Dell 21" Monitors hooked up to the workstation via the DVI to DVI cable worked right away. But when I hooked up a new 27" Monitors via DispayPort to HDMI, I had to force the NVIDA App to find the display, which if I had not had the old monitors, I would not have been able to boot up using my new monitors. This workstation will service us for many more years to come.

Worst Computer I Have Ever Owned (Updated Nov. 1, 2020)
This is the most unstable computer I have ever owned. I get a blue screen of death multiple times a week (Sometimes multiple times per day) and have to constantly chase down solutions. It seems like I spend more time trying to keep it working than I actually spend using it. I wrote to the customer service and they were helpful in giving me suggestions of what to update to resolve the blue screen error I was getting and when I followed those instructions it worked for a bit, then the computer started giving me blue screens with different errors. When those are resolved, new problems pop up. If you want a computer that will just do what it is supposed to do, do not buy this computer. If you don't have any serious work to get done and just want to wastes hours trying to make your computer work, this is the right purchase for you. I do not know if this is because it is a refurbished computer or if it is just the way this model acts in general, but if I had it to do over again I would have never made this purchase.Update Nov. 1, 2020:If you buy this computer, definitely get insurance with it. I purchased insurance with mine and I am so glad I did. In September this computer started a crash/restart cycle that I could not find any way around. The start-up repair function could not fix it and the computer couldn't even complete a factory reset before crashing and restarting. I sent it is for repair under my insurance plan and the hardware was so faulty that after they ordered parts to try to repair it, they ended up issuing me a refund for the price of the computer because it was too messed up to be repaired. If the hardware was so faulty that replacing it made more sense than repairing it, how did it ever get cleared as a certified refurbished product? I bought this computer from "PC Server and Parts Certified Refurbished" and I will never make the mistake of trusting them to supply quality products again. As I have said before, this computer has been a constant headache. I have now missed out on 2 months worth of work for which I purchased this computer. To be honest, I am glad to be rid of it, but the loss in productivity it has caused me is the most disappointing part of this whole experience. I will say it one last time, avoid this seller and this computer if you need a dependable computer. If you decide to go for it, definitely get insurance.

So far so good! Day one.
I just got it a few hours ago. So far it is as fast and impressive as I'd hoped. Mine came from RPC Global and I've already called the customer service for help with finding the right adapter (DisplayPort to HDMI) and they were very helpful. They did actually send a box full of cables with it but I use HDMI and none of their verious cables would work. Still, very awesome of them to have tried to hard with all those extras. To give you a sense of how insanely fast this thing is, imagine that when you click on a program that it opens up only a nanosecond after you lift your finger off the mouse (Chrome, Adobe, Word). Crazy fast. RIght now I am downloading all my dropbox folders and they are popping up in a fraction of the time it used to take when updating my Lenovo E440. My task manager is open because I've gotten used to having to pace my workflow to keep it from freezing up. Nothing has reached over 12%. I'm used to topping out alllll day.The internet is fairly amazing as well. Pages are loading within 2 seconds of entering the address and I'm reaching speeds of 186 MBPS down. I realize that a lot of that is the ISP but my E440 has never reached these speeds.I'll open up the side before too long and I'll update if needed. So far, I'm really happy.
