Q: does it have Luminous light in the dark without using battery light?

The hands glow if they get enough light. There is a light,but it only illuminates the face and not the digital readout. It's been fine for the times I've needed to see what time it was in the dark.

Q: Can the digital display be set for military time?

It's hard to see but just outside the 1 -12 is the military time. 1 is 13 , 6is 18. I believe when you set up the digital side you can set it for military. Hope this was helpful .
