I bought this to make a first birthday cake for my son. I didn’t have baking spray so I greased the pan with butter and the face of the bear didn’t release so I had to use a butter knife to loosen that section. After I frosted the cake you couldn’t even tell that the face had to be reattached. Worked out well and looked cute. I’m not a cake artist by any means but had fun baking and frosting this! The pan is lightweight but not flimsy. I did have to get into the creases with a toothpick when cleaning it but no big deal.

Ordered the star shaped pan. It’s more of a 6 inch then and 8. The edges aren’t sharp so I’ll have to do additional cake cutting to get sharp star tips.The pan itself is good quality and easy to wash.

used to make my star cake for my bday, worked really well! i just trimmed the cake some to make the lines sharper.

Cake came out of the pan very well! No instructions came with the pan but I sprayed it really well with Pam and followed the directions on the cake mix. The cake was a surprise for my husband and it was a hit!

It took me a while before I got around to using this cake pan. The instruction for preparing the pan is as follows, an exact quote! "First use Method of Newly Purchased Products Must Be First Soaked in Water, Then Dried with a Soft Cloth, and the Inner Wall is Wiped with Edible Oil." I followed these instructions exactly as written but my cake would not release and when it did, the floral top of the cake separated from the bottom half, and I had to try to "glue" it together with icing. It also mentions "Quick Release Non-stick Finish". I thought the instructions were "suspicious" because the pan is aluminum and there isn't a "non stick" surface visible. Be that as it may, I decided to follow the instructions only to be very disappointed. Not worth the effort to send it back. I'd steer clear of this item.
