I was wanting to get a futon for quite a while. I love sleeping on the floor. So I did my research. A lot of people were buying zonli beds and I was going to as well but when I looked at the Amazon reviews, it wasn’t that great. And then I stumbled across this one which had lots of good reviews on Amazon but not really any on YouTube so I risked it and bought it.Was I satisfied with purchase?Uh YEAH!!!! This is probably the most comfortable Japanese futon I bought in a while.I hear the floor is best to sleep on for your back.it of course supports your back. The quality is beyond amazing, and it’s super easy to move. I will only say get something to tie it so it stays. It tends to unfold but it’s no biggie. The size is comfortable!So yah highly recommend this

Great product for the price, transparency this was bought for intimate time, having four kids and one still trying to sleep In our bed, this was bought so we would be able to get away so to speak, maybe TMI but I hope it helps other parents like us when looking for the same reason, it’s extremely comfortable and well suited, great quality and firm enough your not feeling the floor through it. Highly recommend.

Great quality and firm the way I like it. No backache and slept well on the first day. I hope it would keep the firmness and shape for a long time.

Perfect and comfortable

I am sleeping on a 2 inch tatami with this pad on it. It is very comfortable. I was sleeping on an air mattress. Traditional mattresses have been disappointing. This is great.I might upgrade at some point if it gets too squashed but so far no sign of that.

I love it . The quality is great. It has good cushion. I used it to put it over my sofa bed so that the middle parts are not bumpy. I used a queen and it fits perfectly.

Product is great, however it didn't fit well in our bunk bed that has a futton so we had to return it.Keep in mind that customer needs to pack it up in order to return it, and it will not fit at the original box at all so you'll have to find a bigger box.

A good but not great Japanese futon. I am having back pain from my overly soft mattress that is not supportive. So I bought this shikibuton and started sleeping on the floor. What I liked was that it was well made from what I could tell. So, on the first night I used it and in the morning my back was not sore but my hips were. I am a side sleeper and the mattress just isn't supportive enough to avoid having my hips basically supporting my weight. I think if you are a back sleeper then this would work for you just fine. It's also not easy to store as there's no straps or anything from keeping it folded. You can fold it, but it'll just want to "pop out" unless you put something heavy on it or use a strap of some sort. This is unfortunate.My plan now is to use both my regular bed and this futon. I'll just switch back and forth depending on whether my back is sore or not. Overall, for the price I cannot recommend it for side sleepers. If you are a back sleeper (which I'm not) then you'll probably like it.Pros:Seems well made.No funky smells.Puffed up nicely.Good for back sleepers.Neutral:Size was fine.Cons:If only it was just a bit more thick or supportive.If you're a side sleeper (like me) prepare to have your hips sore in the morning.Doesn't fold easily or stay folded. You'll need to use some kind of strap to keep it from unfolding.Price was a bit much for what is essentially an oversized chair cushion.
