A very good portable massage table
My wife used to be a massage therapist on cruise ships (that is where we met when we worked on the same ship). We have a non portable massage table, but it is big and heavy and is now used to put kids stuff on as well as a tv for the kids, so not very usable for massages. I bought this table with the idea of keeping it handy to be used in our office, but to be out of the way when not using. She was surprised when I got and she thought it would be way to hard to setup/put away and store, but luckily, I was right (ok, I was lucky). It only takes about 30 seconds to set up and about the same to put. We store it against the wall behind a rocking chair and you would not even know it was there. By the way, I do not try and put all the accessories back in it which is why it takes so little time to put away, I just keep the headrest next to it when stored. As for the quality, all in all I would say it is very good for the price. I would not suggest to stand up on it and jump up and down as I'm sure it would not be able to take that. But with normal use it is pretty sturdy and is very comfortable. I was surprised when my wife stated (after we used it) that is was better than the portable massage tables she used when working on cruise ships and she was very impressed with it (so kudos for me).Yes it does have a plastic smell on it, but I just sprayed it with some antibacterial Lysol (also to give it a cleaning) and left it setup for the night. The smell was mostly gone and it was acceptable to use. We did not get the fitted sheets for it, instead just using a soft, thick bed sheet and that works great. It is abit heavy and I can see how it would be difficult to pack in a car, up stairs and the sort if using as a truly portable massage chair, but then again, if it was any lighter, it would be flimsy and not good during the actual massage, so as all things in life, there is a trade off and this is no exception.I would suggest this product for anyone wanting a massage table to put out of the way and setup only when needed.Shipping was fast (two days with Amazon Prime) and there was no damage to it.

My amateur masseuse of a girlfriend loves it
My better half is soon to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and she has been doing amateur massages for the last 6 months - I gave her this table as a gift to get her started. We were looking for something of high quality, durability, at an affordable price. I'm glad to say we made the right choice.Having had a massage on it myself, I can say that it was stable and comfortable. It seems well made and was big enough for me at 6'3", 180lbs. All of her clients have been satisfied with it as well. She is 5'4", 115lbs and is great shape but it is a little heavy for her. She can carry it with the nice shoulder strap but has some difficulty getting it into her little Mitsubishi Eclipse. It's not a problem for me but she asks me for help sometimes - simply because it's a little tough for her.I do have two minor complaints - first use it had a strong rubberized smell that was unbearable for me (as the lucky recipient of the trial massage). I couldn't put my head in the headrest because it just smelled like a tire. We improvised and I rubbed it down real good with some Dr. Bronner's peppermint castile soap and it hasn't been a problem since. Also the hand straps for carrying the bag have broken...I guess that's annoying but I don't see any reason to use those over the shoulder strap (it's not light, even for me). Would possibly be useful for maneuvering it in the car.

For the price i pay, i get the equivalent value of the quality
The reason why I have chosen this massage table over the other is because it was economical and able to incline on one end. I like that inclined feature to act like a massage chair too... Overall the table served the purposes of most my needs of the usage. But definitely have their shortcomings when I used it...I have found out that the length & width of the table is about 6-7 inches shorter on both dimensions compared to a professional size. With that, if you have a client who has the size of an average Asian guy, the table will fit him nicely. If you have a client who is an average American guy, he will occupy every inch of the table.....What if you have a client who is slightly NOT HWP (height weight proportion), you will find that their arms are squeezed to fit into the width of the table... I cannot imagine if I have a client who is more than 6 feet tall or who is heavier than HWP.... I know the face cradle will add more inches to the length of the table but that is only useful when you do body massage... The inclined feature is served me well only if the client is not too tall or over 6 feet tall.In the description of the item ("2.5-inch high-density foam deck protected by high-quality upholstery"), I think it is over rated... It is neither high density foam deck nor high- quality upholstery. 2.5" foam includes the thickness of the board which means if the board is 1" thick, the foam is 1.5" thick. and that is what I am getting. The foam is just on top of the board and there is none placed on the sides (2 lengths and 2 width).I know how much I paid for the table and I understood that the price I pay for, I will get the equivalent value of the quality. I am not critical about the table. I just want this review to be helpful to those who knew little (like me) about the table selection. Or at least have an idea about the table usage.I gave a rating of 3 stars (it's OK) because it did serve the purpose of my usage though with some shortcomings. This table arrived is timely and easy to set up. It is a strong table and does not have any loose parts' sound. At least not in the beginning.. hope not in the future...If I have a chance to buy another new table, I will get one with thicker foam which is longer and wider... That way, I know that table will be suitable to almost all size and shape..
