A Great keyboard on the best 15" MBP from 2011-2019.
This model was received on time and sturdily packed. Got online quickly, software was already updated. This is my second Apple MacBook Pro from 2015" with their 15 inch screen. My first MBP was refurbishhed and purchased in 2019. After six good years, the batteries were bloated and the speakers blew out as well in April 2025. Apple would repaire for $750, but I got an identical laptop thoroughly refubished for half that price ($340) through Amazon. A used Apple 15" MacBook Air M3 has similar performance to the 2015 MBP, for $800. I am familiar with the operation of the MBP, and I am in my 70's. I do not need the new challenges. I do love my Liquid Retina screens!

Bad battery, malfunctioning trackpad, fan going nonstop
On first day using it, after charging, laptop dies when it hits 45% battery. Pretty weird, so I reset the SMC because the watermark might be off. Doesn't fix it. I notice several gestures on trackpad don't work, and there are no "click" sounds or feel when I click. Fan never stops going, all processes are extremely slow (remember, this is a 16GB RAM computer and I am not doing anything other than browsing the internet at this point). I take it to Apple service, they tell me that despite only having 5 cycles, the battery is "bloated", which means it was either bad quality to begin with or stored poorly/for a very long time. They tell me it might be pushing the trackpad up and might be causing the overheating and other problems, but they can't service it because it was handled "unofficially" (whatever that means).UPDATE: I had to replace the entire topcase for $750 dollars, and found out that this computer is a 2.5GHz, not the 2.8 described in the product title. JemJem has shown no willingness to help even with the cost of repairing this horrible, misadvertised product, so I cannot more strongly recommend that no one buys a product from them. For the $1840 I already put into this computer I could have bought a newer one directly from Apple.

Very satisfied with this machine
I didn't want to spend all the money for a new machine, so I took a chance on this one which said "like new". It's a MacBook Pro 15in Quad Core i7 2.8GHz Retina (MGXG2LL/A), 16GB RAM, 1TB Solid State Drive (Renewed). They weren't kidding. It was pretty much in "like new" condition. The screen and the keyboard are perfect and the case had a just a couple of really tiny scratches on the bottom. With a Mid 2014 machine, I don't think you could expect it to be any better. It works beautifully. I run a lot of of software, since I'm a software engineer by trade and a musician by passion. I use several audio processing programs along with Sibelius notation software. In general, I have at least 10 apps open at a time. Some of these are not light weight applications. I don't know if all these machines come from the same source? This one came from the seller "Always Less Than Apple" in Richardson, TX. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. They did a really great job, and if I don't kill it, this machine will be worth something when I decide to move up to a machine with Apple silicon. Pesuming that is the architecture at the time. With Apple, you never know.

Great buy do it!
Exactly as expected from the description. At first I thought this amount of Ram and storage for the price, there's no way. The storage is accurate and the 16GB RAM speed is amazing so I stand corrected, and would have gave a 5 star rating but... Only issue is battery, but it's still workable and charges. Holds charge, but turned off at 25% left. Not a big deal for me, my wife uses it for photo editing and this product is definitely worth the price I highly recommend this seller with this product. I already guessed the tobattery would have an issue, but it is worth it in the long run. No damage and looks brand new.

Everything was great, it just won't work for what we need.
Ordered this for my daughter for school. She is an illustration major and needed to run photoshop and other programs that require the most current ios. Unfortunately this one will not. It came perfect and exactly as described... I just don't know anything about co.outers and didn't realize it can't be updated any further. So I had to send it back. It arrived fast, and in excellent condition and I really wish it would have worked out.

It's a gamble, but it may pay off
I was looking for a backup laptop and selected this model because I'd bought an original one back in 2015.The refurb price was about a quarter of what I'd paid back then so I felt it wasn't too shabby a deal.Well, first of all I ordered a 2.8 and received a 2.5. That should have been a red flag right away and I probably should have returned it immediately but I gave it a try and was still satisfied with how it worked. In fact, it worked like a champ ... for 97 days. Yes, 7 days after the return window closed, the battery stopped being recognized and now it only works while it's plugged in - which is still okay most of the time, but also defeats the purpose of being a laptop when you can't transport it away from the power cable. So basically I rented a laptop for three months at a pretty high price....although it still works just fine - so long as I keep it plugged in all the time.I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm ordering another one - hey, at least I know it'll probably work for at least 90 days! But this time I will really be putting the battery through its paces early so I'm not surprised later when it fails to cycle. Also, if it doesn't meet the specs as advertised, I'm not giving the benefit of a doubt this time. Good luck everybody!
