This lip ain’t goes on perfect without getting all over my face way better than the cheaper items

The color is very natural, and doesn’t transfer but does not last as long as I had hope. For the price not bad.

I chose collection #01 in this matte liquid lipstick from Hxssll. I tend to want to call this style of applicator a lip gloss but the term gives the wrong impression of the overall effect of the product. I like different lipstick, gloss stains, and tinted balms. I choose one or two sets most weeks, trying to find something that I really want to use again and again. For the sake of comparison, I am trying to find something that isn’t gloppy sticky, that doesn’t taste bad and that the overall effect or color works on my completion. I would like to say something that stays on well but I bite my lips so that isn’t going to happen and won’t be the fault of the product.When I chose this collection of 6 colors, I knew online the colors looked really good based on my preferences. I tend to stay toward the brownish pink tones. I don’t typically like deep reds or peach very well. When I tried color #03, the initial flavor….coconut…and slightly sweet smelling. The product didn't’ feel gloppy. It went on smoothly. It also didn’t try to over cover - meaning spread out everywhere. I hadn’t used a liner or anything. Just grabbed the color that looked like one I would use regularly. The product started to dry immediately. I did rub my lips together as it was drying and not until the end did I get any stickiness. Even then it was just barely tacky, really not fair to call it sticky. Then the overall look. I really like this matte effect and the color. This set also included a lip oil. Or I would probably call the clear one a lip gloss. It went on after about 10 minutes and added the comfortable rub my lips together feeling that was missing. Of course it did change the sheen for a bit, but didn’t try to take off the lip color I had applied.I think this set is a winner. Looking at the lip colors in this set online, I can see that the other colors are variations of the #03 and the #03 is the darkest. This set gives me a selection of 5 colors plus the gloss. It has a coconut scent but it doesn’t taste sweet. Even though it doesn’t taste sweet, it does have a slight coconut flavor of sorts. For me, sweeteners just make me lick or bite my lips even more than usual.

I like the colors in this set, more natural, but I don't care for the feel of it on my lips even after blotting, hard to explain, felt kind of greasy to me. Keep in mind though, I don't like to wear makeup so I know that's a big part of it. I like to add some color, blot it off with tissue, and then just add a bit of gloss after for moisture.

The colors in set #2 go perfectly with my winter-pale skin and mottled gray hair. I can no longer wear traditional lipstick or gloss without first using a lip liner because they all bleed up into my "laugh line". Wrinkles, actually. I don't need to pre-line when I use this stuff because once it's set it stays put. I tried it with and without the gloss and both ways look good to me. I like that the gloss goes on over the matte finish but it doesn't soften/wear away the color underneath. Really easy to use, really good value. I've got my eye on the set with colors more bold that will look good on summer skin.

waste of money, does not work

This 5-pack of lip color is a tremendous value. All five colors are highly pigmented. Colors #4 and #5 were the most flattering on my lips against my very pale winter face. The colors really do stay on and are transfer and waterproof. I have to use waterproof makeup remover to get it off of my lips. It doesn’t take long to set, either – maybe 30 seconds to a minute at most. I don’t care for the shiny look but I tried it just for the sake of this review and it does keep its promise. I’ll gladly reorder and I’ll be watching for the release of additional color packs from this brand because my summer face will require more dramatic lips.

The color is beautiful, and it really is long-lasting, but it’s a bit drying on the lips. The peel-off process is fun, and it does stay put for hours, but you have to exfoliate and moisturize beforehand, or it can settle into lines. It’s a cool product, just not the most comfortable to wear all day.
