Really good value
For the price this head unit is great. I have a 15 WRX with the base sound system. I was worried when installing this head unit because only one plug from the original head unit had a suitable adapter in this kit but apparently that is all that is needed. The other unused plug are for SiriusXM, an interface that links the old radio to the upper display and a ground which are all unneeded. I slid the USB adapter down to the passenger side between a gap in the carpet the center console. In the new head unit you have to go into the settings to assign the steering wheel controls to their proper functions. You can also change the button colors to match the car's red color scheme, just make sure to disable the "led animation". The software feels a little janky but wireless android auto works and that's all I need.

Do you like gambling?
Everything went in as expected and I followed the directions, but the first time I actually had to back up the screen went black and started smoking. The fuse did not blow but later drained my car battery and ruined it. This is a risky buy at best and I'm glad it's working for some buyers, but I'm not going to make this gamble again.

Harness problems
Bought for my 2015 sti thought it would have the harness needed so I didnt loose my steering wheel controls. But in fact the harness supplied with the radio does not work with my 2015 sti model. Other then that love the radio works and looks great.

Rear camera not working on 2016 wrx. zero online support.
Ill start off by saying, Sound quality is an instant improvement over the god awful factory subaru touchscreen and android auto works flawlessly from the get go.But onto the bad...After doing some digging and scouring wiring diagrams, I figured out the harness that comes with the head unit expects the car to be a 2015 wrx, where the reverse camera signal comes through a 5 pin connector. On the 2016 and newer models, the reverse signal comes through the 28 pin connector and there is no 5 pin connector at all. So there are no pins to feed the reverse signal to the head unit on the 28 pin connector, since its expecting to have another set of wires to plug into the factory harness with.Tried emailing the company (j junsun) and amazon with ZERO help or acknowledgment. for the price of the head unit i cant complain too much.... but still any sort of customer support would be nice.Besides the reverse issues and a couple weird memory bugs (left side buttons dont illuminate until i go into settings to turn them on then they work fine.... until i turn the car off and have to do it again.) If youre ok with getting less than what is advertised then order one. Or fork over the extra money and get the IDOING head unit kit and have an ACTUAL plug and play stereo swap.

Works good
Got this to upgrade the stock radio in my 2017 wrx limited with Harman Kardon. At first I thought it didn’t even have eq settings but I messed around and found it after reading the manual that it came with. Sound is 10x better than the stock head unit. The steering wheel controls needed fixed and I got that corrected also. Everything is working good and looks a lot better. For the price I am very happy with it.

Works great--DIYers, beware
The media could not be loaded. Android 13 Car Radio Stereo for Subaru Forester WRX Impreza 2015-2018 Suitable for Harman Kardon Systems, 9 inch 2G+32G Head Unit with Carplay/Android Auto SWC GPS WiFi BT FM RDS AM DSPMy observations (see video):Pro- Works very well. Uses the car's backup camera, steering wheel controls, built-in microphone, and--most important for me--adds Android Auto (yes, and Apple Carplay, too).- Seamless. The stereo comes as a part of a trim package that matches the car's original trim, so it looks perfect.- Everything is included. Yes, there are several parts that I didn't need and that I didn't use, but it had everything that I needed to install and use--including a handy plastic pry bar for removing the old trim.- Communicative vendor. I had no business doing this myself, but I found that every question I had was answered--satisfactorily--within a day after messaging them.Con- As I mentioned, a dummy like me had no business installing this myself. I had no experience installing car audio. I'm good at following instructions, but there were none to speak of. Fortunately, I'm old and patient and have another car I could use for a couple weeks. I searched for and watched LOTS of youtube vids, Reddit posts, etc., to remove the old system and install the new. The last few questions I had were answered by messaging the vendor.Bottom line: it got installed, I learned a lot, and now I'm very happy with it.

Only Bench-Tested So Far
So, I haven't yet had a chance to put this in my WRX yet, as it's still very cold for doing outdoor installs. That said, I have tested it on the bench inside, and I find it FAR superior to the stock Subaru unit. (which I'm replacing due to the famous LCD screen delamination issue) The screen is responsive, it connects easily to CarPlay, and it's far more configurable than the stock unit. I can't wait to get it in the car, at which point I'll update here. That said, the manual leaves a little to be desired - but hopefully between this and the service manual pin-out, I'll be able to get this thing in.The unit itself appears very well-made. The dash panel matches what's in the stock unit perfectly. I have no doubt that this will look great once installed. The screen itself is also larger than the stock unit, which I'm looking forward to.
