My son likes this mat because he can practice his skills inside the house and outside as well.Underneath the mat it's rubbery so it has grip and don't move around.The socks are rubbery on the sole as well so you have more grip on the ball when practicing in the house.For a beginner i think it's very good practice with this mat,helps a lot if practicing every day a little bit.

This is a great set which has a football training match and 1 pair of grip socks. The mat is well made as are the grip socks. At £26.99 I think this set is a little expensive compared to others I have seen on Amazon that appear identical which is why I have given a 4* review on this occasion. I think around £20 or just over would have been better value for money with the socks included.

Great quality mat with a really good non slip back. Perfect for a budding footballer to hone their technique. The socks are a bonus and definitely assist. Great item. Would make a great gift.

I asked my football mad grandson to have a look at this mat to see what he thought of it. He wasn’t impressed, he couldn’t see the point in dribbling the ball 45cm in one direction then 60cm the other. As he rightly pointed out, and even I could see his point-even though I know nothing about football-that dribbling needs to be practiced whilst moving and moving a ball a maximum of 60cm isn’t much help.He very much liked the socks, but wouldn’t wear them with football boots like the person in the last photo.The mat is well made and even on a shiny wood floor is non-slip. The price is very reasonable, but I can see my GS’s point of view and wonder how much use it’ll be to a budding footballer

I got this football training mat for my nephews (age 7, 10 & 13) who are all keen footballers.It is made from a rubber material which feels like neoprene on one side and has a non slip backing on the reverse.It feels good quality and is well printed, even with the ‘Maximise’ spelt the American way!The grip socks are adult (or older teenager) sized, but they’ve got others they could use if needed.The set includes a leaflet detailing various training options/exercises and a QR code which takes you to some ‘you tube’ training videos, it is best to watch some of these in order to get the most out of your training mat.It will be a great addition to their football equipment set up, along with their goal, rebounder and agility ladder which they use in the garden. It can be rolled up easily for storage or portability if you want to take it to a friends house.Overall, a decent bit of kit with a lot of potential to add some new and interesting elements to your training regime.

Got this for my eleven year old son ti use so he could practice his football skills in his bedroom or anywhere indoors. He loved it. Only lost a star because it wasn’t in nice packaging. Just came rolled up in cling film. So you didn’t know what it was until you open it. Not great for a gift. Great concept and excellent for the price but not to gone given as a gift.
