Pup loves it!
My husband saw a video for this and we thought it'd be fantastic for our new pup, who has the energy of 1,000 12 year old boys during a carefree, sunny summer day.Delivery was quick, all components arrived, and setup was relatively easy.Pup LOVES it! Really loves it. We had 1 hiccup in that our pup pulled the rope loose from the carabiner. I wasn't sure of the longevity, at that point. He yanked it off within an hour of playing! However, husband reattached it and that was a couple weeks ago. No problems since. Pup is still tugging with all his strength (which is a lot) and it's holding up quite well.If you have a dog like us, who is non-stop go, go, go!, I'd definitely recommend this product.

It’s tuff.
We have 4 German shepherds, so we needed a product that was going to able to handle the abuse. I waited a while to write the review to make sure it could handle daily use. Our dogs range from 80-105lbs and they love this thing. My senior gives light rugs and like to hold the ball with a little pressure on it, but our others really tug and get aggressive with it. I did change the tug toy to a ball by chuck it, but that was a preference not a must. It’s easy to put together but I would suggest using a piece of 2x4 to place on top of the ground stake to hammer it down and avoid damaging the edges or weather coating. It’s a little pricey for what it is, but the Durability makes it worth the cost.

Great dog toy, but could injure your pet
We have a doberman/basset mix. She is short and all muscle and she loves to play. She never gets tired of this toy. The one issue I have with it is that it's not tall enough. She always goes very high on the rope and gets very near the metal connector the rope connects to. She's a short dog, but can still very easily get that high as she is very long and stands on her back legs. I'm always nervous watching her play with it because she jumps up to grab high on the rope and often gets very near the metal connector. Though she hasn't injured herself yet I'm a little surprised. She is not a gentle dog. I fear broken teeth at some point. I even got the size bigger than recommended because she was still growing at the time. Needs to be a couple feet higher so that the metal piece is well out of reach of any dog in the intended range. Our dog jumps up to grab it and all 52 pounds come crashing back down while she's also pulling with all her might. If she ever gets that steel ring she will break teeth. It makes me nervous every time she plays with it.

Not great. Last 3 months..
3 months later... the nylon that holds the clip on tore.. she's only 45 pounds. Not a good buy. She did have fun... while it lasted. Not a good buy for the expensive buy... not happy

Didn’t last long
Broke in the first day. To be fair I have a Dutch Shepherd and she ripped the rope off within minutes. Pole is still in good shape but does not stay in the ground. Fun toy for dogs.

My dog LOVES this
The media could not be loaded. My dog, Finn is a 120 lb Lab, Shepard, Bloodhound mix. He's high energy and very strong. He loves this toy and plays with it every day. This is the second one I've bought for him. They last maybe a year before he frays the red "hollow rope" portion where it comes out of the top of the pole. But, with all the usage and because he's so aggressive with it, I'd say it's more than I would have expected. The rope that comes with it is too soft for him, so I replace it with Amazon product: Mammoth Flossy Chews 100 Percent Natural Cotton Rope Dog Toys - Premium White Knot Dog Rope Toy - Interactive Dog Tug Toy - Tug Dog Chew Toy for Medium to Large Dogs - Large 25" which fits perfectly into the steel carabiner on the Tether Tug. Also, because of his size, instead of driving the metal pipe holder into the ground, which didn't work for me, I dug a 8" hole about 18" deep and set the pole in concrete. But, these steps were only necessary for me because of having a 120 Lb strong dog. If your dog loves to play tug, you need this toy. Finn loves loves this toy.

Very sturdy!
Love this product, but wish my dog loved it as much as I do! He loves playing tug of war so I assumed he would enjoy it. He only played with it the first day with me sitting near(pictured). He prefers direct interaction. All dogs are different, mine just doesn’t care for it. The product gets a 10/10 for me. Very durable and sturdy. Has a lot of bend during play. Holds up to what it advertises. Love that the toys are interchangeable. Maybe I should try changing the toy to see if that helps.

Pole bent immediately
UPDATE: The vendor had wonderful customer service and sent us a new pole. Our dogs loved this for the 30 seconds that it lasted. Then the in-ground pole bent and was pulled out by the 5th tug. Contacted the seller immediately and haven’t heard back.
