1HP Shallow Well Pump with Pressure Tank, Stainless Steel, 115V Irrigation Pump, Automatic Water Booster Jet Pump for Home, Garden, Lawn

Most people who get a well pump like this are going to use it with sand point wells, so the recommendation to use a foot valve won't apply. Instead, use a check valve. The first pic shows my setup which uses the pitcher pump connected to two sand point wells that are tee'd together underground as both a backup pump as well as a means to quickly prime the electric pump. Each sand point was driven 14' down (4' for the sand point and a full 10' stick of 1-1/4" pipe) but the water bearing sand layer here in N. Florida started at around 3' for around 5' of total lift (incl. the 2' of pipe above ground). The second pic shows a flow rate of about 4.5 gpm at a usable pressure of about 15 psi (the pump is running continuously) while the third pic shows the jet from the usual garden nozzle at just before the pump cycles back on. I mounted the pump onto a pre-cast 16" x 16" x 4" concrete block that was $7 at the blue big box store (probably at the orange one, too).One minor issue: the usual recommendation with air bladder tanks is to pressurize them to just under the minimum pressure the pump kicks on at (19 psi here) but mine was pumped up to 30 psi and the result was extremely short cycling and an abrupt drop in water pressure just before the pump kicked on again. Once I bled the air bladder down to 20 psi the water flow rate was more consistent over the pump's pressure range (which is still pretty wide at 2:1) and it didn't cycle nearly as often. The Shrader valve for the air bladder is concealed under a screw-on black plastic cover at the back end of the tank (seen laying on the concrete pad).

Item had a ding on the motor and paint separated from the metal at the dent.Rust particles were scattered over the pump and inside the pump area. It's like they tested it with RUSTY water and then bagged it up. See pic, those are rust particle .. everywhere! Inside the shipping bag, it even had rust particles all over it.I haven't installed it yet ,.. I hope it works! ?? Glad I got an extended warranty. I'll have to flush it out before I run it.NO Pride of workmanship .. NO quality control ..! :(

This unit is not big enough to provide the pressure needed for a shower in my small cabin. It had everything but the pressure

A little bit difficult to connect the pvc adapter. We had to pressed it really hard. But, when that difficult was resolved it worked as expected. It's a nice buy.
