It does what it’s supposed to do. Charges my new 8ah batteries no problem. Would be nice if I could turn off the jingle. Was cute the first time, but now kinda annoying. Don’t see where I could turn it off so may cracks it open and cut the red wire…or was it blue?? This message will self destruct in 5…4….

The charger came to me incredibly fast (overnightThe charger came to me incredibly fast (overnight) and quickly charged the replacementMakita batteries I had bought just before to completion. I bought the replacement batteries because the three originals I had wouldn't take a charge. I suspected the old charger could have been the problem but was unable to obtain a reliable test. Once I received the new batteries, it wouldn't charge them either so I ordered this one. It charged all my old batteries from 0% to 100% and they were used when I got them and hadn't been charged for many months. Very pleased and would certainly recommend this product especially at the reasonable price.
