My son's on an Indiana Jones kick right now so him and his buddies. I'll run around in cowboy hats and he wanted Indiana Jones whip. I wanted something budget friendly and didn't really feel like buying him a real leather one yet reasons being I didn't want him to smack himself in the face. LOL. He received this. He gets a lot of use out of it. He was really happy but the quality isn't the greatest. It kind of phrase the way a fake leather pure dose on the handles and after about a week of using it it's cracking already. That's why I give it three stars

Always looking on the bright side of life, there's no real danger of being mistaken for carrying a real whip with something this obviously inauthentic, but you can *really* tell it's a cheap costume prop. For one thing, it hasn't been able to coil into a nice, neat round coil as is pictured on the shop page, but rather tends to bend in specific places more readily than others, leading to a semi-triangular look unless effort is made to round it out. For another, this "whip" absolutely does not taper as a whip should and can't even really *whip* at all, and even if it did, the end is one of those multi-strip flimsy things one associates with a toy whip made for the bedroom; there is no danger of this hurting anyone or damaging anything without significant effort on the user's part to overcome the safety features stacked against them.It would make for a decent thing to wear on one's belt if cosplaying as an appropriate character, but any close inspection will make it obvious that it's just a toy. If that doesn't bother you, thumbs up. If it does, look elsewhere. But even as an obviously-fake costume prop the build quality isn't spectacular. You know you better than I do, so take that as you will.

Great costume accessory. It looks real and was a price point that was appropriate for our budget. It was sized well for a child and made the costume look complete.
