Not a good unit-find something else---Customer service was good though!
Update--While I am still disappointed in the sprinkler itself, the customer service has been very good. I contacted Northern Tool to ask if there was anything they could do and they offered me a refund if I returned the sprinkler. While the shipping was on me ($26), they did refund my money. Happy with the customer service, still bummed that the sprinkler was not a good one.Very disappointed with this sprayer. This unit replaced one just like it (only that one was built well) that lasted here for almost 5 years of use and I was hoping this would be as reliable. It is not. Had the same issue putting it together as others have mentioned. Luckily, we were able to remove some parts from the old sprayer to put on this one to make it workable. It DID NOT have any hose washers; I had to supply those as well. With all this I was still hoping it would work as decent as it's predecessor. I have the same issue with the first 10-15 feet being quite saturated and then a dry spot of about 10 feet until the top arc hits the ground. It does not have a way to adjust the bottom spray nozzle that I can find. It also leaks terribly and creates a significant puddle underneath where it is sitting in just 10-15 minutes. This is horrible for watering an arena. Wish I had used it more over the winter to realize how terrible it is.

Very nice
This was purchased for resale to a lady that didn't want to mess with anything. "Just wanted it to work." (you are supposed to say the word "period" aloud but I felt that spelling out period and then using the punctuation period was redundant so this explanation is much better) It has a heavy brass sprinkler head. (Do not use the quote bunny ears on the aforementioned sentence. That is not what we are doing here. Do not bring the review down with your adolescent malarkey) I had a little trouble getting the wheel "pretty" caps to stay in place but that is merely cosmetic and did not affect the sprinkler at all. (Malarkey may have been too strong but I would also accept balderdash but only in certain company.) It was hooked up to a 3/4 hose that had 10GPM and 60 PSI available and did exactly what the specs said as far as coverage and watered her entire backyard at once. (Yes, you should use the bunny ear hand gesture when reading "pretty" earlier. You got me. I guess that was what we were doing here.) I have no reservations in ordering another one should a customer requests a movable sprinkler.

Need 3/4 pipe to 3/4 hose adapter, available at homedepot, lowes, Rural King etc
Works well, but you will need to get the proper hose adapter, as the one that is with it does not attach to a standard hose, got mine in sprinkler area of Rural King, also saw them at Lowes

Second one, same problem
This is suppose to come with a 3/4in FPT to 3/4in FGH standard brass garden hose swivel fitting. Seems straight forward, one end connects to the pipe the swivel end connects to the garden hose. I sent the first one back because it was pipe thread on both sides, would not attach to a garden hose. Ordered another one and this one has the same problem. It comes from Northern Tool. I called them to see if they could just send the right part. They do not sell that part separate. So I am just going to go to home depot and buy the right one. Northern you have a problem.

Best choice I've maid in awhile
I have nothing but good to say about this amazing product! I've bought many different sprinklers I have a 1 ache lot that I have for horse pasture I've tried alot of different sprinklers and they didn't have enough coverage and most of them were very frustrating that I had to move them so much! This covers my hole area I'm watering in 3 section and can be moved while water is on witch is nice. I do not recommend this for a smaller area for obvious reasons

Erratic coverage
The design is strange, the lower orifice shoots water out that solidly covers roughly a 20' diameter, then the upper orifice shoots a ring out 40', everything in between is bone dry. I can't imagine it's designed to work this way. Any one seeing this same issue?

Holding up well
This sprinkler is still working well after 2 full summers of constant use.
