Well designed underseat cabin bag
The media could not be loaded. This Osprey bag was recommended to me as a good quality cabin bag that would fit Ryanair's underseat cabin bag size. It is slightly over the dimensions on Ryanair's website but fits their sizer perfectly as long as you don't use the expandable (+6) feature or overstuff. It's a bit more expensive than its competitors for this category, such as Cabin Max, Aerolite, etc. but it's by far the most comfortable one that I have used. It also has some great design features, such as a laptop sleeve, luggage pass-through, bottle holder and an organiser panel that make it easier and more enjoyable to use than its competitors.

Genuinely a bit special in yellow
I recently took a family of 4 to India with an array of hang luggage-sized Osprey bags to avoid having a large suitcase to lug around small taxis and trains etc. This approach also helps as progressively packing and getting out of hotels is less stressful than having a single suitcase. This expandable bag delivered a number of things that I liked about it:1. The yellow colour is much darker and more subdued than it appears in product photography, but you can always see it, remember to pick it up, spot your partner in a crowd and feel relaxed that it hasnt been keft behind etc. The fact it is darker than advertised means it doesnt look too garish as a day bag, and in hotel lobbies etc. Yes, you look like a tourist, but not like a scumbag.2. The size prior to expansion is a good size for a petite wife to handle.3. The expansion was eminently useful once we had stocked up on souvenirs etc. It is in a useful direction and the bag becomes deceptively large.4. As you can see with my obsessive purchasing of Osprey bags, it is just very well made. It looks and feels very good.5. I preferred this bag over the 44 litre black Daylite rucksack in the same range, which was flappy and unstructured and really is just a roll-on suitcase substitute. This also has little structure to it per se, but the smaller size allows it to keep its shape to a greater degree. I'd be happier using this 26L bag for a work trip, for example.6. The bottle pockets add greatly to the versatility.7. The ventillated back panel is of greater use in a daypack in tropical climate than it perhaps seems. I'd still prefer a fully netted back for a daypack, like the black Deuter which was our primary day pack. But when we needed a second day pack as we knew we'd be shopping, the vents made this pack more than a viable option. The chief drawback of this pack is that it is not hugely technical. There are limited pockets and internal wizardry. But its a pack thats in the daylite range, so thats kind of the point of it. The external zipped pockets on the front/top are somewhat useless in my view. Quite challenging to get your hands into once the bag is fully packed, not suitable for frequent use.The other Osprey bag I'd totally recommend is the satchel / handbag shown. That thing is a game changer for a man on holiday. Absolutely loved it. The bottle pocket and other pockets make it especially useful, a great bit of design in that bag. Although perhaps Im just a man discovering how useful handbags are to women. But that bag further cements my appreciation of Osprey's design.Final comment, look at the weight of the zips that Osprey use. Makes such a difference to the use, feel and longevity. Theyre always just that bit heavier than everyone elses.Buy it.

Excellent quality and comfort
bought as a present for my daughter. it is exactly what she needed- loads of room, brilliantly designed, comfortable to wear and light to carry. She is still finding new things out about it eg. the little whistle that summoned both the dog and the cat when she blew it! Perfect for work and travelling.

Very clever and practical
Bought for air travel. I have used it three times. It fits BA cabin bagage and is easy to carry either as a comfortable backpack or as a case. Lots of clever details include a separate iPad pocket, a sunglasses and earbuds pocket, bottle pouch as well as a larger inner net pocket. It will take folded shirts, trousers etc. As it is slightly soft it has good compression. Besides eye watering price, nothing to criticise.

Pros and Cons but Happy Overall. I like the medium size.
Pretty happy with the bag, been indecisive about it for a while but the size is good for many European airlines if you don't pack it to the max (wizzair and Easyjet I tested) and definitely safe as a proper carryon. Some cons:- the bottle pockets seem to lose my bottle a lot, I've attached a carrabiner onto the compression strap to solve this (as I don't like doing it up all the time),-no waist belt (I bought a £5 attachment from Vaude which works perfectly).- no hidden side pockets for passport for example (the top front pocket is nice, but the lower one is kind of too deep without any visability, to save losing things I actually put my little herschel sling bag there (top open) and store things bag in bag which works well.Pros:- seems very high quality, especially at this price point, I have no doubt in the zippers.- comfortable to carry (and I have a bad shoulder so that's saying something) I haven't packed it super heavy but then I would use a different bag for that kind of load.-good size- like I said, works for most airlines as 'personal item' but all as carry on. Can travel with it for a month but also doesn't look out of place as an every day bag- fits all my gym and daily stuff in it. Love th suitcase style opening.

Best Travel Backpack
It opens like a suitcase, which makes travel packing very easy. The backpack also comes with internal straps to make sure the stuff inside (especially clothes) stays put when the bag is placed vertically. The laptop compartment is great and takes very little space. The side bottle compartments can snuggly hold 0.5-1.5L bottles. Everything efficiently laid out, such that they do not compete for the same space. It even has a plastic loop to attach my house keys on, while I am travelling.

Alternative to a suitcase
The build quality is far superior than many others I’ve looked at. The price is on the ‘premium’ side so it’s an investment. It ticks lots of boxes for what i was looking for in an alternative to a light weight suitcase. My mini break is pending so will update review once I’ve used it!

Fantastic backpack
Ideal for a holiday. Comfortable with lots of handy features like useful compartments, a zip that opens the whole bag like a suitcase and the expandability. Great for carry on for the plane and for daily use on holiday
