3M 9332+ Aura Disposable Respirator Mask, Pack of 1

Bought 5 units in Nov'16 for Rs.245 each + Free shipping. Comes in company sealed packet. Made in UK. Using it occasionally for me and my family in vehicular traffic.Usage: Do note that this is a disposable mask. Many health experts warn against washing these kind of masks as it drastically reduces their efficiency.Life: Its difficult to judge how long each mask will last. Some other branded masks have been measured to last on an average 70 hours of use in moderate pollution. It all depends how much you use it and the amount of pollution around you. I am guessing the white color of this mask becomes greyish and it will become slightly difficult to breathe in which means the filter is blocked with particles and its time to throw the mask away.Comfort: The cotton like material is soft but the hard edges of mask are slightly rough on skin. The mask has 2 thick rubber bands stapled. Each band goes above and below the ears to hold the mask comfortably. How comfortable I cannot say as I haven't tried other pollution masks.Quality: If this is truly a P3 rated mask as is claimed by 3M, it is a must for Asthma patients or for anyone who expose their lungs to pollution regularly especially during winters when pollution levels become far worse. For those who don't know P3 is a European health standard which means this mask should block at least 99% of airborne particles. This is similar to the US standard N100. The quality precedence goes like this P3>P2>P1 in Europe and N100>N99>N95 in US. So P3 ad N100 are best in filtering pollution particles.Design: Fits my face contour snugly so hopefully less chance of leakage. Also I wear spectacles and haven't had any issue of eye wear fogging after pressing the top panel edges to my nose.Some Helpful Tips:*Simple pictorial instructions are printed on the plastic packet so make sure you see them before throwing it away.*When wearing it, stretch the top and bottom panels and press the mask edges to your skin from all sides to prevent leaks. This will also help prevent eye wear fogging.*If you think the 3M logo on front valve is ugly like I do, you can simply put a white tape on it or use white corrector pen.Would be perfect if this was available in skin color. Good product. However I couldn't give 5 stars for the following two reasons:-1. Cost and sustainability:- I wish this was made in India; that would have brought down the cost a bit. I use these to run in the city, to protect myself from vehicular pollution. It does the job very well at the beginning of a run - for the first 15 mins or so. Then it starts to get wet from sweat and the pores get clogged. That's when it starts to become really difficult to breath through and I have to change it in the middle of a run. So for an average 10k of around 1 hr, I have to use at least two masks. At that rate it really becomes an expensive proposition in addition to generating a lot of nonbiodegradable waste (that contributes to the urban pollution in the first place). So I wish there was a less expensive and more sustainable solution. (Of course there are other anti pollution masks around, some that even claim to have been specially made for runners; but in my experience this one does the filtering part best).2. The fastening strings of rubber:- I wish the fastening bands were made of some elastic fabric instead of latex/rubber; that would have made it a bit more durable and comfortable for running.In conclusion, nothing wrong with the product as far as the intended usage is concerned. I would have given 5 stars had I not been using them for running.

I have used two of these masks. And will be buying another one soon. They sure do protect you from Dust and Particulate Matter. When it comes to pollution, pollution has a wide meaning. Air pollution consists of various gases, smoke, Dust etc. This mask is not meant to filter the harmful gases like some vehicular exhaust gases, for that you'll need another type of mask with dedicated filters. Coming back to this mask, It does what its supposed to do. Its comfortable to wear. And the white colour can help you decide when to buy a new one. I use it thrice every week while commuting to college on my motorcycle. I live in Delhi, so it can be used for about 15-20 days of travel, which means one month for me. Overall its a must buy as these things are becoming necessitiy now a days.

Good quality mask but on constant use the red yellow band got broken .it is low quality.due to constant use the white color got dirty and accumulated dust may be due to area.function is good .I did not felt suffocating experience.even nasal area can be covered well .but white color got dirty easily.

It is a good respirator made very poorly and absolutely non durable. I fail to understand company like 3M is not bothering to weld rubber / appropriate strings welded to mask. It is so fragile that one string broke in few times. I will not recommend any one to waste money on this mask.Else expiration valve is making this mask very comfortable to breath

This is by far the best respirator mask i have ever brought . it is very convenient , durable and easy to use .It is the best mask in terms usage , dust , pollution and ph2.5 particles ,i usually use it when im going out for a drive on my bike or scooty .i have already use alot of anti pollution mask before but had face alot of issues but now after using this mask i have no complaints .i recommend everyone to use it as it cheap and disposable.
