Product quality
This purchase is exactly as described. It is definitely worth the cost. I would not hesitate to purchase it again if needed.

It’s quality
This is as close to the old school boom box as you can get. Fantastic tape deck, with 2025 user interface. Antenna/ radio works great. Bluetooth works. It sounds exactly like you expect. Sound quality is very descent. For the price

Looks the look, does not sound the sound
Acceptable performance but nothing to write home about. The VU meters are strictly ornamental. Had to return the first box sent to me--not functional. Amazing amazon replaced immediately. Tech specs ok for details. But user manual is sketchy; poorly written.

Good for the price
Works well and is relatively sturdy. Been using it regularly with vintage and new cassettes and had no issues. AM and FM radio works fine. It has a bass boost function but i suggest not using it since it makes the sound muddy.

The best for a good price
I bought the Riptide first, it had the same vintage look, but was smaller and the sound was incredibly bad. This one clocks in at three times the price of the Riptide and sounds 10 times better. Well worth 120 bucks. It doesn't have the same sound quality as a CD much less vinyl, as the cassette tape Hz spectrum is narrower. But this is as good as any quality boombox from the 80s. The vintage look is on point. It is sturdy and doesnt look or feel cheap. Takes 6 D batteries. I almost purchased one at twice this price and I'm glad I didn't because this one is perfect.

Wow Bro! Get it….
This is soooooooo well built! All the knobs have AMAZING resistance….youll be as proud to keep it perfect and scratch free, just like back in the day. It’s so loud you can only crank it 75% before it’s too much. Excellent speakers. I’m only sad I got this for a buddy’s Bday gift and not me lol.

Decent boombox with very average sound quality.
Sound quality of this Retro Boombox is ok when it plays from radio, an USB flash drive or a cassette tape. Sound quality is not good when it plays from a Bluetooth source. It is muddy, like you are listening to music with cotton balls in your ears. Most of people buy this boombox to digitalize old cassette tapes. I needed this boombox for the opposite reason. I have many old cassette tapes and huge collection of mp3 files. I need to copy music from USB flash drives to cassette tapes, so I can use my old cassette tapes for fun.But this option does not work well. The boombox records to cassettes but sound quality is very bad. It is impossible to listen to them.If you need it just for listening music from radio, cassette tapes or USB drives then this boombox is for you. Otherwise, look for something else.
