The lock and key is a great touch and it’s a durable quality metal.The color and the feel of the fuzzy covering is very attractive. The pages of the journal are good quality. Makes a great gift idea and is good value for the money. Pop

This diary is the size of a standard diary. It has a clear and pretty unicorn design on the front of it with some pink fluff. The pages inside are nice and sturdy. They’re not cheap or thin. The diary also comes with a sheet of unicorn stickers (which my 6 year old loved!).The diary comes with 2 keys (thankfully). My daughter HAD to have one, so I kept the other one safely put away where I know where it’s at. The only gripe I have is there was no small metal ring to hold the keys on. They were attached on a piece of ribbon. So unless you have one laying around or go purchase one, you’ll have a loose set of keys.It’s very easy to lock and unlock the book, my daughter figured it out after watching me do it once.My daughter just turned 6 and she is in kindergarten, so she’s learning how to write, spell, etc. This cute diary has made her want to write more (tons of practice!) and she has a lot of fun doing it!Overall the diary is very well made, the paper is not cheap and is secured in the book- so no worry about sheets falling out. It has a cute, clear design, and includes stickers too!I recommend this diary and I would purchase again.

my 5 year old received this as a gift and is obsessed with it

We gave this as a birthday gift last week to our 10 yr old neighbor and she loves it! She was attracted to the soft cover and how pretty the colors are. I was impressed by the quality when she took it out of the packaging. She is having fun reading her entries to her mom already! She says it's fun to read the stories she is now writing to her mom. Great value for the money!

This is a very cute design and was the perfect gift for my drawing/writing obsessed 5 year old. She loves that it locks but the lock itself is a little finicky for her to be able to use the key and get it open by herself. The key has to be well positioned in the middle of the lock opening and unless you're familiar with locks, it is difficult to figure out which way to turn it to actually get it to unlock. Overall was still a great purchase, it may just be better suited for a kid a little older.
