If you’re having issues with a carburetor similar to this one, I would use this carburetor as a replacement. Easy plug, and play and the mower is running within 15 to 20 minutes. No leakage and definitely a money value. First pool starts and the engine runs great.

I have a Briggs & Stratton model 104M02-0131-F1 that was pulsing and revving too high when starting. Went to clean it and realized the float pin wasn't seating properly so decided to just replace the whole thing. Was skeptical since it's not a B&S part, and the price was so low...but it turned out to be a perfect fit. Easy to install and fired up on the first pull. Mower runs perfectly now...cut over 1/3 acre of thick grass today with zero issues!

Very good - Is nearly an exact match to the original carburetor. This replacement carb is fitted with a choke, but the original carb did not have a choke. The engine is fitted with a primer bulb. So, I locked the choke open with a small wire-tie. After this modification, the carb worked great - lawnmower started and ran fine.

Item shipped promptly and fit the mower exactly as original. All gaskets were included and showed no signs of leaking upon install. Found a simple tutorial on Youtube for installation, and within minutes the mower was back up and running.

Perfect replacement for factory original on my B&S 625EX. I took the 9 year old original carburetor off and cleaned it up while waiting for the new one. I put it back on but the needle valve didn't seat properly even though I carefully checked float operation before reinstalling. (I didn't have a new seat.) The mower started perfectly with only a little gas in the tank but dumped gas with more than a 1/4 of a tank. Good thing I bought the replacement. Mower started on the first pull! :-) No surging. It just works well. Shipping was fast too! Thanks. For the small cost it's not worth messing with a clogged carburetor. Just slap this new one on and get mowing!

I had a problem where all of a sudden my mower was running full-out, high RPM. All of the linkages seemed intact, there were no springs missing, and no amount of adjusting of the governor made any difference. Long story short, the throttle plate within the carburetor had broken off (the one on the inside, not the choke plate), leaving the throttle wide open, all of the time. This replacement carburetor was quick and easy to install, and fixed it right up. The mower now runs pretty much as it had in the past, through when I first start it up, it will surge (RPM increases) mildly but repeatedly for about the first minute or so, before settling at a steady and appropriate RPM. I was originally going to deduct one star (leaving 4) because of this, but while I suspect that this issue could have something to do with the carburetor, I can't be sure, and don't want to unfairly deduct because of that. For all I know it could be the governor or some other component. Regardless, it runs well enough, and for just over $16, I can't complain.
