Still work two years later, seem to be accurate
I started using these as a quick and easy test for the hospital tank I set up. It comes back 0 when it makes sense. It also tested higher values which made sense as well:1) anemone looked like it was going to die in my display tank, I put it in my hospital tank before leaving for the weekend. Sadly it died. I tested the water when I got home and it was maxed out on the chart for ammonia (makes perfect sense for dead nem)2) I had a firefish die in the QT tank - must have been overnight. For a much smaller fish, having died recently, it reading around a .5 was probably reasonable and showed it could detect some mid range results as wellI wish they were cheaper but they seem to be a fairly worthwhile rapid test. I’m ordering another set now

Work fine
I liked these strips, no different than any other name brand. Did the job I expected.

It won't not turn blue.
I went through a whole bottle of strips. I used Dr Tims ammonium to start tank. its been weeks, redid tank putting in only enough for much less than my tanks holds, have been waiting two weeks, did partial water change got ammonia level down to 3 per other test strips. I got water works nitrite/nitrate test strips so I can see them cycling as they should and they are. SJ wave shows ammonia level at .5 to closer to 1, JNW test strips are the same with a hint of yellow so a bit lower than SJ's. And I have been following it going down since the water change 3 days ago and the nitrite and nitrate changes follow appropriately as well. Got new API bottle of test strips ....still blue?

Ammonia Test Strips
You need to be aware you are going to always get a reading due to the 2 different types of Ammonia. Not both are harmful.
