Q: What's the width of the band?

I estimate the width of this band to be 1 inch. It’s much more comfortable than the UAG band that I own. The quality is much better for the price than UAG.

Q: What is the best way to clean this band? It dries up okay after a workout, should this be handwashed with detergent and water or can this go in washer

All my nylon watch bands get mildewed, even when I take them off to shower: It's from getting wet from sweat on a warm wrist. So every other month or two I get an old jam jar filled with hot water, add a teaspoon or so of liquid bleach, then screw on the top, agitate and soak it for 15 minutes or so, then remove, rinse, and air dry. It can smell a little like bleach at first, but it's the only thing that kills the mildew for me. I wouldn't leave it in overnight because bleach can be caustic and might eat away the stretchy material, and obviously wouldn't do it with a band or containing any natural or delicate fibers.
