StarONE Aluminum Van Headliner Shelf Fit for 2019-2023 Mercedes Sprinter Van | Includes Curtain Rod, Carpet

Our box arrived trashed, with boot prints all over it. (It's a shelf, not a step Amazon delivery person!!!) I wasn't even going to open it, assuming it was so damaged it would need to be returned. Thankfully, my husband opened it and it had survived without a scratch, dent or bend in the metal. Can't believe how well it stood up to the abuse.Installation was pretty straightforward. We did as other reviewers suggested and installed the curtain rod first. Then we installed the carpet starting at the back lip, and smoothing it forward, unpeeling as we went. (Can't imagine doing this part with just one person.) The only glitchy part was the paper was hard to get off the carpet at the beginning.Suggestions:-We did a trial fitting in the van before we installed the carpet just to make sure everything lined up and that the shelf really wasn't bent or warped.-A second set of hands was also useful for tightening some of the bolts towards the front.-The bolts that attach the curtain rod look fine from the outside, but the end that pokes through to the inside of the shelf is very rough. Some kind of cap or cushion needs to go over them to prevent damage to items stored on your shelf.

Relatively easy install. Really long arms or a second person is helpful. As noted in another review, instructions say to install hanger rod after shelf is in place. There’s no room to do that. Rod needs to be attached before placing the shelf. Watched a couple you tube videos on DIY with template and kit. By the time you purchase the material for DIY, you’re approaching the cost of this item spending a lot more time on the completed install.

This is awesome. Nice design. Rigid and secure. Carpeted liner is awesome too. Pretty easy to install. Such a great improvement for my Sprinter for the price.

Easy to install - able to put lots of stuff out of the way

Stays on strong, some finishing touches recommended before installing. Helpful seller, good communication.

The shelf is just okay it doesn't fit tight so any small things or paper will slip through the cracks and land on you while you are driving. The curtain rod the instructions say to install it last but there is not enough room to insert the fastener after the shelf is installed in your van
