Badass!
I try to stay away from buying knives or unseen and untouched gear on line because it's not sharp enough or it just doesn't measure up to the picture or description. Not this badass blade! This thing is absolutely awesome and and the only reason I took the chance was the price but I'll get to that here in a little bit. First, it's an American family owned and operated company. Second the entire build is well thought out. The blade not only looks badass but it is one of the out of the box sharpest blades I have ever had the pleasure to own. It's perfectly balanced that way it fits and feels in the hand and perfection. You want to know what else is badass? They offer a warranty on the product and Alls you need to do is register it. You know what that tells me? That is just a formality because I doubt I will ever have to need it. I have had blade's with a sheath with a "system" to keep it in place and after constant usage it fails and just when you reach for your blade it is not there. Not this badass! I can tell you now that the only time this will come out is when I need it to and that is really all anyone can ask for in something that could save your life one day. It came with two stickers, one is on the window to my car and I gave the other to my friend that is super siked to get a few blades from these guys. It came with a guarantee that they stand behind and that is badass! Remember I talked about the price? I liked the look and I noticed the price and that is why I ordered the blade. It's not a $29.99 special that ain't worth nothing. It is a respectful price I will gladly pay for a blade I will bet my life on. It also came with a folded up pamphlet with so many awesome knives and I will absolutely be fulfilling out my knife wants and needs due to that. This blade is badass and this company is badass and I will be getting more blades from them.

CRAZY SCARY SHARP!
Absolute quality! Pops the hair right off my arm! The weight, feel and color schemes of the blade, handle and sheath flows quite nicely. Whoever designed and sharpened this thing did an outstanding job! Definitely made for combat as well! It would have been nice to have this with me when I was lost in the wilderness once without any food, water, weapons nor gear.

Great Quality Control!
I had the folder version of this knife and really liked the profile, so when they came out with an XXL fixed version I immediately purchased one. All of Off Grid’s knives come sharp, their production is in Taiwan but the heat treatment and QC is spot on. This Bowie has great balance, cuts and chops well AND has a stout point that can take some abuse. If you are looking for a medium sized fixed Bowie this is your ticket, and you will not be disappointed.

Nice knife for the price.
I just received this knife & the Ridgeback. This is a first impression review of the Caiman XXL. This is a very nice knife. I ordered the Stonewash finish as it looks nice, is the exact knife as the other finishes & this finish was $20 less than the others. The knife is very well made & very sharp right out of the box. It fits my L-XL hands very well. The sheath is nice & I appreciate the thumb ramp on it. The knife is balanced well, the blade is sturdy (and sharp!) and, overall it's a nice looking knife & appears to have what it takes for outdoor usage. It's not 1/4" thick, so, don't try to baton a 12" thick chunk of hardwood with it. It might do it, but, why try to see if you can ruin your knife (unless you're Joe X😊). This is a really nice knife, especially, for the $69 price. If you're going camping, or, just out into the woods, you may want to take a heavier duty knife (my favorites are WTG) for heavier work. The Caiman XXL would make a really nice camp knife, providing the blade holds a good edge for a decent time. I see no reason why it wouldn't. It's a good buy. Glad I picked one up.

great knife but...
awesome knife but watch that tip, it's pretty thin, so if you stab something to hard, you'll be reprofiling it . that and trying to baton or drill or pry with it (for those who do those things with their knives). that's my only complaint about it though.

Beast of a knife.
One of the coolest knives I have ever owned. I put this one on my eberlestock hunting pack and it came in handy many times, mostly clearing small amounts of brush and opening my snacks. I don't carry a gun during archery season, between this knife and bear spray I had the piece of mind I needed for the just incase scenarios. Very sharp and using it as a small machete to clear small tree limbs didn't dull it all.

Awesome for the price
I like the design. It's broad and choppy, pointy for times you need that, and D2 to top it off. I like that the D2 is relatively thin. Most blades these days act like 1/4 or more makes for a great blade ... yeah, if you're chopping trees down. The tip would bend if you tried .... so don't. Fit finish and quality are good.
