Rada knives
I've used Rada knives for over thirty five years. Must have sharpener to maintain the sharp. Very affordable and made in America. I have given sets for wedding gifts. Good basic knives.

Best value and best knives!
I purchased this knife set because I bought our first Rada knife over 30 years ago for $1.00 and it is still perfectly sharp and used everyday. My original full set of Rada knives was purchased about 20 years ago and I use all of the knives. When I saw the new knives with the black handles I just had to have them. I ordered a nice set and also a set of steak knives. The real secret to my love of these knives is the little sharpener that is easy to use and makes your knife cut like it is new right out of the box and I mean every single time. These are lightweight, which I love, they slice right thru veggies lickity split. In the knife world, these are very low in cost but in the "I love these knives" world, they are the very best!

WOW - felt like this was the first real knife I ever used! Cuts everything like butter, and excellent value too!
I wanted to get some decent paring knives so of course I went to Amazon and looked for good reviews. I found a set of 3 Rada paring knives and wow! The first time i used them, I thought I had never used a real knife before; these just cut through everything (apple, grapefruit, meat) like butter! So I ordered this set as well and it is just EXCELLENT. I am very pleased and would highly recommend these knives. One note, our paring knives have the silver handles and are not dishwasher safe. The black handles are OK for dishwasher use. Over the holidays our silver ones went through the dishwasher and now they are a slate gray - still pretty, actually, but not how they looked before.

First glancee the handle seems short....but i think its on purpose. Slices through frozen chicken like it was chocolate cake
Update:Their customer service Horrible. The peeler is chipping it's metal blade off and I offered to email Rada pictures to get a replacement but she refused. She said if I mail the peeler in and she may replace it after looking at it. I don't want to pay to ship it there. Pictures should suffice. I told her if she mails me a prepaid envelope I'd be happy to send it in so I can get a replacement. I'm not spending $3 shipping on a $6 peeler to get replaced. Very unhappy. I was going to order more pieces from this company too. Not anymore! My first impression was OMG this has to be a childs set. The handles are stupid small. Like what was the designer thinking making handles this short. I have small girly hands and slightly less muscle control in my hands than id wish and a longer handle would make this easier to hold. BUT. new things in general scare me and i don't like new things for a while. After using them for a full week I can say WOW! I can't believe i wanted to return them at first. They glide through half frozen chicken breast like it was cutting through chocolate cake. Seriously these are sharp like other reviewers have said. I dry them and put them into the box after each use and ive had no issues with rusting so far but its only been two weeks. I'm going to go ahead and guess that if the handles were longer maybe theyd be more apt to break where the metal connects to the handle..if thats the case i can deal with a short handle. My giant hand husband used these to cut tomatoes and peel lemons (im guessing he just wanted to play with the peeler lol ) But he didn't complain one bit. He enjoyed how easy it was to cut things now. I'm not trying to figure out if I want to try buying the knife gift set part 2 or if these will be enough. The black handle set is a resin which means kind of plastic for all wondering but thats ok with me bc i read the silver color handles show funny marks on them if put through the dishwasher by accident. less fuss to worry about with these. I wish they could somehow label what knife in the set is what and i didn't have to look each one up. ;)

Been a fan of Rada for years........
The value for $$ is incredible for these knives. They may not be the exceptional quality compared to some of the expensive brands, but if you keep up on sharpening they are fantastic. I figured I could replace a whole set of these knives due to the price every 3-4 years and still have invested less than the expensive ones. PS Do not put the stainless handles in the dishwasher as they will turn color, but that said no knife should go into the DW as it makes them dull faster from the soap crystals.

They're sharp enough
I gave this as a gift, and I heard from those using these knives that they are happy. Knives are quite sharp and there is an assortment. I have one Rada knife myself and I have been happy with it.
