Q: How much weight can this hold? Is this a cane that will actually help people walk?

Most of the cool looking canes are not weight bearing canes. I didnt realize when I purchased this one even though I'm pretty sure it says in the description. That being said, I weigh 185 and I'm 5'6" and I used it to walk with after a car accident. Worked fine. After a while the rubber on the bottom wore down. I wouldnt use it to support your whole body trying to get up from a sitting position, just to help keep balance really.

Q: Can it be cut down to make smaller?

You could shorten it by cutting the wood stick, however you will need a new way to finish off the end with a non-slip fitting.

Q: I bought this for my husband, and he loves it, but is wanting to get a non-slip tip for it. What size should we purchase?

Good but flawed.

A sturdy cane with proper balancing, it's difficult to grip though not impossible and the scales on the top/back are easy to wear off but I'd still recommend it. It's worth the price (£20) both for function and excellent aesthetic.

Just a Joy to have:

I have hurt my knee and it aches for last year and a half, so this actually helps take pressure off the knee, allowing it to heal. Not saying the pain goes away, you just feel better. The stick is not used to hold my whole body up, but it helps push away from the pain and I use stick to punt myself along the path, etc.Also it looks really good, love the Cobra head, great. A true work of art...

Fantastic cane, well finished and eye-catching

Fantastic cane, well finished and eye-catching. It was a little long for me, so I had to saw a piece off it. The silver tip on the bottom end had to be reset. I got a small woodchisel, and cut a small inset to fit, now no-one would ever know that it has been altered. I love it!
