Good baking vessel
Received the Kook Sourdough bread vessel. Heavy enamel cast iron that supplied a good bake with my sourdough. I set it into the oven with the lid to heat up, then placed the dough to bake and was pleased with how it came out. Would recommend this purchase the price was excellent while others who sell their wares are far beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Great Bread Baker.
This is a wonderful bread baker. My bread comes out crispy and with a perfect exterior. It is an easy cleanup and can go into the dishwasher. I am very pleased with my bread baker. Would definitely recommend.

Must have
Best dutch oven for bread. Use this one for my sweet loafs since it's coated with enamel. And they are beautiful.

Wasn't sure, but look at that bread!
I have to admit that when I received this as a Christmas gift, I was surprised and not thrilled about it. I had chosen a less expensive oval Dutch oven and put it in my husband's shopping cart as a not-so-subtle hint. I had looked around and decided that the less expensive and slightly bigger Dutch oven not meant specifically for bread would work fine for making loaf-shaped loaves. I have a round Dutch oven which works great, but sometimes it's nice to use the bread for sandwiches and the round oven allows the dough to spread out too much.Anyway, I was feeling really unsure about this particular shape and size. I was worried because I am not making sourdough bread but rather an easy cheese bread recipe and in the past is has stuck to the bottom of the pan so I was worried that given the high sides, it might stick to the bottom and sides of the pot. But rather than upset him by returning his gift, I took a deep breath and decided to give it a try today. To say that I am impressed is an understatement. I made the best bread with this Dutch oven! It's the same recipe I have been using lately - a Rosemary, Garlic, Cheddar Cheese bread, but this Dutch oven gave it a crispy crust and soft interior all over the loaf. And it didn't stick! I did use a silicone Dutch Oven thing that I've found to work really well which I put at the bottom of the pot and then brush on olive oil. But even still, the finished loaf lifted right out of the pot, and the interior looks like it's not been used.So I put it in the oven empty to heat up for 20 minutes, then I added the silicone mat and brushed the mat and the sides of the Dutch oven with olive oil. Then I dumped in the dough, covered and baked at 450 degrees for 25 minutes, then removed the lid for the last 5 minutes of baking. As you can see from the pictures, the bread turned out dreamy, perfect, and delicious. Kudos to my husband for researching and deciding on this Dutch oven for the bread!

I like the shape, just not the design.
Its a beautiful pan. My only complaint is the handles to get the lid off. It comes with a handle to pick the lid up, but the handles are so close together its hard to get the handle in it and when the oven is 450 degrees I'm not trying to lose all my heat in the oven while I'm taking a lid off. Its not hard, just difficult. It functions as should, cooked the bread okay; a little underdone in middle though. I love the tradional loaf shape though vs the round pot. Just going to take a minute getting used to. Easy to clean.

Great little Dutch oven
The media could not be loaded. This Dutch oven is a perfect size for a 1 pound and a one and a half pound loaf of bread, It doesn’t take up a lot of counter space and is a very handsome look on my counter 3 quart capacity still has some weight to it for someone who has physical challenges is heavy, but not too heavy great quality. I would suggest seasoning the inner rim of the lid and pot because it does not have any enamel on it, I believe they did that so that the enamel would not chip on the pot all in all it’s a great Dutch oven and I also love that you can use the lid to sauté small portions of food.
