Great space saving machine!
This machine is exactly how it is described in the description online. I love the rowing arm movements on this machine. It arrived on time and in good condition. This machine will go in my home gym.

My 1 Star is now a 5 stars after a month.
I originally gave this product 1 star and what changed my mind? I originally was disappointed with the level of resistance because even at the highest setting of 12 it was easy to do a few reps. I think some people expect this to feel more like rowing through quick sand than water. I blamed the lack of resistance on the fact that it was cheap. However I had visited a gym and the their more expensive rowing machine had about the same level of resistance! I figured maybe rowing machines just suck in general but all over the internet I found people saying it is one of the best workout machines. I was about to return it when I decided to give it one more try. What I learned was that unlike other gym equipment this will not work if you don’t have the correct form and timing. You have to do some research to learn the correct form because some people on YouTube and google don’t know what they are talking about. Next is the timing. Every minute you should do a stroke 25 to 30 times. For about 5 to 10 minutes. Find out how many strokes makes up a mile. When you have the correct form and time yourself then you’ll find out that it is more challenging than you think. I had to drop it from 12 to 7 setting. The next day I was surprised that my abs hurt. This thing actually gave my abs a great workout and I only did it for 30 minutes.I am 5’9 and 180 lbs, male.I am certain someone with less strength and is aiming to lose weight will really love this. It relievers cardio for sure. I normally run and I was starting to break a sweat and breath hard after 6 minutes. So if you want cardio then this is it. Even if you do run a lot. On those days when your legs are too sore to run. This can be an extra way to get cardio while being soft on your joints.I am not sure if this will work every muscle group because I have to use it more but so far it makes me sweat and at least works my abs in a short amount of time. Even if it only gives me cardio and works my abs then it would be worth the 99 I spent.I am excited about this machine because everything people on the internet have been saying might be true.I am still learning how to use it and I have a feeling it will give me more benefits. It takes some getting used to but I like the feeling of rowing now.It is not loud and you can watch TV while using it.It feels comfortable and as solidly built as it looks in the photo. My advice is to learn how to use it and try actually using it for at least 10 minutes for a few days. Remember to time your strokes and pay attention to form or this thing will be useless to you.

Open box "like new" was not as described but, very good rower
I saw one in "like new" condition for about $50 off so I snagged it. Figured if it was in bad shape I'd just return it. Well, it certainly isn't in like new condition but mostly just scuffs and poorly repacked. Luckily, there were no missing parts. Typical Amazon sub-par quality control. I decided to keep it. Now about 1 week of use and its been really great, fortunately. The upright rowing position is super easy to get in and out of. It puts more emphasis on your core and legs than arms which is what I was wanting. The full motion, natural rowing movement is a real game changer for loosening up your shoulders vs a non full motion rower. I'm a Telemark and Downhill Skier about half the year and this machine is EXACTLY what I was looking for to keep me where I want to be all year long. It's well built, completely silent and movement with the elastic resistance bands are butter smooth. Not to mention cheap and easy to replace when they wear out. I had my mother over to try it yesterday. She's in her mid 70s with a replacement knee and did nearly 100 strokes without pain. This is something she probably never thought she could accomplish. It put a huge smile on her face. I highly recommend this machine. But order it new to be sure you get a good condition one.

Works the entire body
Price, Delivery, Unboxing and AssemblyOn July 5, 2023, I purchased the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5639 Full Motion Rowing Machine w/350 lb. Weight Capacity and LCD Monitor, Silver. 1K bought within that past month and Amazon's Choice. Overall rating 4.4 from 6,000 customer reviews. Why not?It was hard to overlook a rowing machine for $125. Surprisingly, it arrived within a few days, in one, manageable, big box.I couldn't ask for an easier assembly. With a flawless, descriptive user manual, my 19-year-old niece assembled it in 20 minutes or less. My first week rowing experienceThe first 3 days were smooth sailing, I rowed 45 minutes each day. I became concerned because the scale would fluctuate between 1-3 lbs. each day I weighed in.By day 4, I spruced up the minutes to 60 because I liked certain features I was beginning to notice. I noticed though that I wasn't burning as many calories as I burned with my elliptical, but my jeans were still falling off my waist.By day 5, I noticed a significant change in my facial components and a slimmer side profile as I looked in the mirror. This is when I believed that this exercise machine was destined to help me achieve my health goals. I also conducted a few searches in quest to discover why my scale was stagnant even though it was evident that I was losing weight. I came across a few videos which explained that my body was burning fat while building muscles, a process called Body Recomposition. I checked off all the signs: 1. Gaining weight 2. Clothes fitting indifferently 3. Building strength 5. Body composition is changing. The only thing I couldn't check off was 4. Getting bulky per Trifectanutrition.comBy day 6, I was sore and became concerned about continuing to row or taking a break. So, I took a day off from rowing and decided to do a moderate paced walk in my neighborhood. I did a few stretches, which I think I'm horrible at, but hey. I increased my water intake from 4 cups to 8 cups, to make sure my body isn't dehydrated.By day 7, I'm still mentally gearing up to continue rowing today, while I watch the new episode of one of my favorite reality tv shows. My biggest fear is that I'll be in too much pain to complete an hour of rowing.Pros and ConsOne of my favorite things about the rower is that I can drag it anywhere, unlike the $800 elliptical my older brother gifted me some years ago. It's just easy. Switching from indoor to outdoor is a mood changer as well. So, if you're looking for mobility in a rowing machine, this little frugal machine is your guy.I dislike the fewer calories the monitor displays. It seems to burn only a fraction of calories of what the elliptical burns, which I use for only 30 minutes. So, in 60 minutes or the rower I'll burn about 200 calories. In 30 minutes of the elliptical I'll burn 300 calories. However, with the rower, the progress is slower, I guess, but the results are worthwhile, because I'm toning while burning fat. I keep this in mind each time I weigh myself on the scale.Final ratingsI've been on my failed weight loss journey for 17 years and I've tried a few machines. I'm rating this rower 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!
